    Drilling and Driving Set $19

    Don't Drill and Drive.
    If you Drill and Drive, you're a …. ….

    • +17

      … Tradie!

      • +8

        lol

Not what I had in mind, but you win…

    • +1

Damn neggers made me login to read this :(

      • +1

So many intolerant of a bit of humour.

    • -1

You're definitely bloody idiot if you do. It's difficult enough driving while getting a blowie, nevermind drilling!

      • Someone's obviously never had a blowie while driving, don't be jealous.

  • +2

about 15c per piece! but most of these will probably be rusted within 3 years.

    • -1

If you leave them out in the rain then yes…

      • +4

Nah these are notorious for surface oxidation.

        • +1

          Yup, mine did.

    • So it's 5c/pc/year.

  • great deal!

  • +4

had this kit and broke the #2 screw driver bits with the Ozito impact driver drill, while driving 100mm timber screws into pine. Bunnings replaced the kit under warranty, but it broke again. So I ended up swapping it for another brand and it's been solid so far.

This cheap kit is good for screw driver kits, but too weak for an impact driver. :)

And Bunnings after sales service is fantastic, Harvey Norman could learn from them

Beware that this drill bit set is poor quality. Bits are very fragile and bend/break easily, ok for minor diy jobs but useless for anything else.

    • +1

I second that, one of my drill bit broke when I used it for the first time. The screwdriver bits are ok though.

    • +5

This is a good, cheap, set to have so you're covered in case you ever need the odd bit.

If there is any you use frequently you're better off buying a quality bit.

    • +3

For this price its not for commercial use

      • The description does say home repairs and diy projects… So yeah

  • Isnt this RRP. Think it has been this price for many months. saw same deal while back.

    • Was $19.98 a while back.

  • +2

Just remember, you get what you pay for and these are not really meant to last…

  • Dissapointed with the number of zip ties in this set.

    • Were there too many? 😉

  • +1

I bought a 30-odd piece Hammerhead drill bit set from from Masters a couple of years ago and am still on my first PH2 bit which among many other things has driven over 2000 screws in the construction of a new fence. Will check Ozbargain for a new set of bits in about 2036.

  • Might as well be drilling with 130 pieces of cheese.

    • What a friend we have in cheeses.

  • +9

Ryobi make such poor quality accessories, this is expensive and not a bargain … Regardless of any overinflated RRP strategy.

    • +1

I agree, but It’s still better than the cheap Chinesium stuff and okay to have on hand for occassional use every 6 months. Get some good quality stuff in the common sizes and then use this as your library for the rest.

      • Chinesium Hahaha An AvE-ism in wider use

  • As long as it’s not Craftright…

    • +1

It sounds like these are the same or worse then Craftright.

  • +1

Agreed that paying $19 for a 130 piece set is a waste of money. Is the nature of a bargain meant to be something of good quality for a low price? This only satisfies one of those.

  • Screw this deal. Not one bit of me wants to purchase this.

    • Now now no need to get in a TWIST about it

    • Not enough product Impact for ya?
I don't think this is much of a deal fifth the quality, but hey everytime it's posted everyone Torques about it.

  • +1

Rubbish quality. Not worth paying for.

  • Just get the individual packs of common driver bits. When was the last time you used a PZ3 bit?

  • Buy a quality set of PH2 phillips and you wont need anything else :p

  • +1

The case is tougher than the bits.

    • Lol, the irony

    • It is actually quite difficult to get the bits out of the case.

  • Are the bits imperial or metric? The last I saw of this kit it was using imperial bits…

  • +1

$18.05 with PowerPass. Happy with this for the odd bits

  • +1

Bits are about as strong as tasty cheese

  • I got the Hitachi set advertised here at Christmas. It drills through steel so I can't complain. Nice looking set.
