They really don't when it comes to earphones. There are so many better options.
Just a heads up, Officeworks reverted their price to $225 so you can now price match Umart to get them for $189.05 if you want.
wait for 2 more weeks for apple wwdc 2018, airpods 2 may get announced, which may affect pricing.
And then another year to release.. just like the Airpods wireless charging case and AirPower charging mat that was announced in September last year and haven't heard a peep since.
I am saying to get Gen 1, but worth waiting for 2 weeks in case if they did announced gen 2, then it may affect pricing gen 1.
I agree, been there, done that. you will just be forever waiting for apple product refresh.
Sorry should've clarified that I agree with you, within a couple of weeks of WWDC you'd be silly not to wait.
Just saying that after waiting, you'll probably have to wait through some more wait time since it seems Apple are getting in the habit of announcing things prematurely now.

Man apple make great products but at that price… I'd recommend the jaybird x3 instead.
I've got the x3 and they are great value.
