Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months

    • what's the deal with that?

I just saw the same thing at checkout……

      • +2

Not in their hands yet. Many times it comes earlier but plan for the worst case.

        • +1

          1 - 2 months just seems ridiculous…

    • +7

      User name checks out 😝
Unfortunately it is if you can wait

  • Showing $108

Choose Amazon seller at bottom NEW 11 from $79

      • Says 1-2 months on that price?

        • Yeah which seems strange.. May be typo and you can get lucky that it may reach early.. But if you need one quickly the Seagate is also cheaper option but $10 more..

  • +2

Wonder how many Amazon accounts I can get delivered to the same address..

    • +1

last week when they had the 4tb on sale with the 20 off code, myself and two other members of my household registered, and they were all paid with my debit card, all arrived on the same day, no worries :)

also made a new account to buy this as well, $59 is very cheap.

      • What do people usually change when they make new accounts? Just the email address, or other details? I don't think you can use different personal details and address, well, unless you wanna it delivered to somewhere else.

        • +1

I just change my email address and leave everything else. Haven't had a problem yet.

        • @syl_kn: Cheers. This expired now, but will do that for future deals.

  • I take it a new account doesn't mean an account I've used across any of the Amazon sites? I have one but used it on the UK and US sites.

    • Try and see if that accepts code

    • i think i have used like ten emails now for 20 off

    • I logged in using my US & UK account which is the same and code works. As long as you having purchased from the AU site it will I guess ;)

    • You can use one that's had purchases on international sites fine.

It'll tell you if the code is working before you confirm payment anyway

  • Damn just ordered the Seagate one…

  • +1

    Can the wd be shucked?

    • Sure. However, you'll still end up with a USB drive but without the fancy case.

  • +5

Just a heads up, they're matching Bing Lee if people want to get it now for $79 or can price match at Officeworks to get it for $75.05 delivered if in NSW.

    • Thanks Doweyy and my gut feeling says most of us after $59 price 😊

      • +2

Understandable and I got it for $59 earlier before it went on backorder, but still fairly cheap anyway at $79 to get it right now :)

        • Yeah.. True 👍 these all are great prices for 2TB..

It is amazing people can register multi accounts to claim multi new user save while accuse downloading torrents of stealing from devs lol

    • +1

This is an exploit of a system that doesn't bother checking you are a unique customer. Torrents is downloading something illegally.

  • got one thanks OP, need some storage for the xb1 !

  • Ordered 1, although I have no idea why I need one.

    • Haha.. Same here..😂

    • you got plenty of time to figure it out….. I'm sure by the time it gets to you you'll need one. ;)

      • I have a ps4 3.50version firmware…Waiting….For….CFW.

        Maybe…Maybe…Haha.

  • First time purchase and applying the code but says
The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • strange..reach out to Amazon customer care

    • You might find the code is applied to your account but you haven't used it. You should see it under your payment options, just click on it to use it.

      • -1

I do see the $20 balance being checked, but the total is $79. With the $20 balance being applied, should it be showing $59 or $79(but charged $59 to my card)?

        • Click on "Use this payment option". Then you would see calculation at right hand side

  • Ordered one for my future ps5…

I feel like all these $20 off for new users deals should be grouped together like the eBay deals.

    • -1

$20 off code is for awarness to new users as many would be new to OZB or old users who came out from deep sleep 🤓
      Actual deal is for $79

I got the Seagate one for $59 a few weeks ago

  • Can't see Amazon in the seller list :(

    • You are late to the party mate

  • Has this red one sold out? Showing 10 new from $108 for me.

  • Damn too late

  • +2

On the contrary, i had to log off and walk away for a long lunch break to save my $59.

    • Hahahaha

  • +1

I know it's been said, but I'm never buying another Seagate after my 3rd one failed. Out of 9 external hard drives, all but one Seagate has died all the others (WD and Toshiba) are still going strong and see more use too.

I've lost all faith in Seagate external hdd

    • +1

Seagate used to be one of the best brand, But not for the last 15 years.

I never bought any seagate drives for years.

My old IDE quantum fireball HDD still rocks.

      • Yeah, I agree. I remember them to be the best back then but not anymore

    • Had a 10 year old seagate drive still going for me. My WD portable 1TB drive however died just after 1.5 years.

      • Yeah, I hear those stories but my experience was the opposite to yours. Weird.

    • +1

I've had all my portable Seagate's die on me in some way or another (5 of them) + 1 internal. Have had over 5 WD drives and no problems at all over the past 10 years. Probably shouldn't have bought the 10TB Seagate's last year… But we'll see what happens

      • Yeah I got sucked in by the price on my last one. That was the last time. Good luck with yours (back it up)
