  • If I didn't already have a 144hz Korean LCD I'd definitely would be getting one of these. It's hard to step down from 144hz refresh rate though…

If by hard you mean impossible… 60hz is nauseating.

      • In what context? My laptop display is ~60Hz and it's never bothered me (and I spend far too long staring at it).

    • Which Korean LCD did you get? Is it within the same price range?

I’ve had this monitor for about a year. I use it for Office and web. For these purposes it’s fantastic. The LG software that comes with it is mostly helpful in dividing up your screen. I love having three full size docs open at once.

I dont game or edit movies or photos so I can’t comment on these. If I was I’d be wanting a higher res.

I wish there was height adjustment so I had to build myself a riser.

Final note, you need a big desk. That may sound obvious but my work desk is big and this thing still takes up a large slab of it.

    Hope this helps.

853 horizontal pixels per window wouldn’t be my preferred experience.

      Specs:

      Contrast Ratio Mega

      woot, that seems a lot.

This isn't the monitor I'd buy just for those things although obviously it's better than 1920x1080.

  • Is this bigger than a regular 32" TV length wise?

    1080:(

Well come on It’s $375! If you want 4K in a 34” you’ll be forking out around $1000.

  • Noob question. How does this screen compare to this AOC ://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/379588

I wouldnt mind an upgrade from my current dell 24" which has serve me well. I only use it to watch movies and web browsing.

    • Then you'll love the 21:9 aspect ratio provided by these ultrawide monitors for movies No more black bars! I owned the 29" LG UW which was too small, but this 34" is perfect. May just pull the trigger!
