If you're trying to charge high capacity batteries, it's going to be slow at anything less than 1000ma per slot (and not ideal for your batteries)
The VC2 (non plus) only does 500ma, the New I4 is up to 1500ma for 1 slot, but 2 drops to 750ma, 4 right down to 375ma.
OK for AAA's though. Look for something that will do around 0.5C charge of your batteries (ie for 2400mAh batteries that's 1200ma)
Wouldn't it be a pain to charge just 2 batteries at a time?
I have a nightcore d4, and wishes there is a model that charges 6 or 8 batteries. Does one exist?
Does this even have any advantages over a nitecore d4 or similar? From a cursory look it's got the same features minus 2 battery slots at an equivalent or slightly higher price (when there's a good deal on the D4).

Aldi sell a smart charger every so often for $20 that will charge six AAs or AAAs at a time plus two Ds and a USB outlet. Conversely, I would like to get a smart charger that is smaller and easier to take travelling.
This is very expensive for a simple 2-bay charger.

Yeah, would have to agree. I picked one up from a Gearbest deal when it was about $3.50 and it's a great little charger.

This is gearbest, rosegal I believe is the same company though I don't know if the Gearbest rep has anything to do with them. Rosegal don't have stock at the moment anyway.LITB have the 402 for US$12.96 with their cheapest shipping option, but the rep has come through with some nice deals on other stuff in the past so worth a shot.
If you want a few more features there's also the Lii-500 which is pretty decent.
