  I don't know much about cars, but my car needs a new set of tyres.

  With the owners manual I know what type of tyres I need, but how do you know what's a "good" tyre and what's a bad one? Are there ones particularly meant for Australian conditions (hot in summer)?

    My recommendation is stick with brand names, Michelin, Bridgestone, yokohama, Kumho, etc etc….

    Most of Aus doesn't snow so youll be after a summer tyre

    Tyres are all about trade-offs, soft tyres are grippiest but wear quick (performance). harder tyres last longer but less grip especially in the wet (i.e eco/ fuel saver tyres)

    edit: remember these wont have fitting so you need to find a place locally to fit and balance and wheel allign

      You can go into tempe tyres and get them fitted and balanced free.

      You'll also want to look up reviews on how noisy the tyres are if you travel long distances at high speeds.

    Kmart price matched (-$5) Tempe Tyres for me only a week ago when Bob Jane wouldn't. I didn't get the 15% dammit, would have saved me $50 a tyre.

    Edit 1:
    Kmart included fitting as the tyres from Tempe were advertised as fitted. It didnt matter that I am located in a different state.

  Are these prices been jacked-up? Sorry I'm abit of a noob when it comes to tyres..I know potenza is excellent (using them now and very happy).. but any other one is better?
