Presence of 3.5mm jack should be up there with the band 28/microsd stuff on all phone deals here imo.

    • 3.5mm is living in the past, apple well and truely killed it off, and most manufactuers are dumping it also.

      you can fix the lack of a 3.5mm jack with a $3 adapter , you can’t add band 28 with a $3 adapter ……

3.5mm is living in the past, apple well and truely killed it off, and most manufactuers are dumping it also.

The way i and many others see it. Its premature. The wireless tech i.e. Bluetooth is just not there yet in maturity to be able to replace it. Some people have wired high impedance headphones that they spent decent money on that just can't be replaced by bluetooth headphones.

you can fix the lack of a 3.5mm jack with a $3 adapter

Great. Another thing you can misplace or forget to bring.

You also can't charge your phone while listening to music using the charging port.

        TL;DR

I am for replacing the headphone jack if they give us a viable solution/alternative.

high quality headphone users probabaly aren’t the biggest customer base ….. how many people have flac vs mp3 if they are that fussed on fidelity of reproduction, very small base.

the charging issue, more phones are including wireless charging for those that absolutely need to charge and listen …..

i own hd650 headphones , cost more than many phones ….

          it’s market forces ….

people rather a surround sound amp than quality stereo amp, bluetooth wireless instead of wired speakers …. mp3 instead of flac or wav …..the younger generation likes convenience and the manufactuers respond …. i still own a cd player and stereo amp …. bit my son likes spotify and can’t undestand why anybody would waste space on flac or buy a cd …. or have bulky headphones that don’t fit into the pocket ….. he does use noise cancelling cans on plane flights and in the car so he doesn’t have to,listen to my music or conversation.

        • Bluetooth isn't there yet? I've been using Bluetooth earphones since 2009 with literally no issues. No noticeable audio lag, great quality audio, no drop outs, what more could you actually do, literally?

  • Does it have notification light?

    • Yes. The red ring at the bottom "breathes" for notifications.

North Korea too… oh wait never mind.

  • No band 28, next!

    • zte band 28 was on the Axon 7 which office works had a sale on the grey ones last year at $299 with 2 year local warranty ….think they still sell the gold versions but it’s a 2 year old handset now.

  • They're clearing it out it seems.

    • The Z18 has been released, so guessing a Lite version will be soon.

  • Alright buy, leeco le pro 3 also a good buy with sd820 at this price. Android 6.0 though.

49.9% of phone calls go straight to the Chinese government?

        • You must be confused with that NSA employee that liked to listen to people having sex.
