  • Are these better than the average hub?

I've got 2x USBhubs with Ethernet port and both hubs run hot

Just read a couple reviews from the link… seems people have had theirs melted from overheating

      • +1

cheers, maybe these thin hubs just aren't good at dealing with heat

  • Given I plug it into a regular USB3 port on Macbook Pro, will there be enough power for two 2.5" USB3 disks? And a USB memory stick?

    • +1

Strange… I just cut and pasted a link from google.
Basically, if it was the same model as the link I posted, it has provision for
a power supply. As is, I dont think you would be able to power what you want.

      • Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Ultra-Slim Portable Data Hub With 12W Power Adapter? [then the description on Amazon says it's 5V 2A => 10W adapter).

But that would do. But at that price, way over $80, I'd rather get TP-Link UH700 or UH720.

        • What I meant was it would be the same port. If it is anything like my DSE 4 port USB thing, it would have some power input which is not included, but you could source the power supply elsewhere.
ie. get this and then the power supply from elsewhere.

    • Am guessing they differentiate between .com and .com.au

  • there are similar ones a few dollars cheaper on ebay, is this brand higher quality?

  • Shown 34$ to me :(

    • Looks like Its sold but available with other seller at $34.. I will mark it expire
