  • Am I the only one who read this as Muslim Jam Making Pan?

I'm a bit disappointed, would've liked to try something new and exciting.

      Quite possibly.

It's 30 quid in the UK… - and more information about what it actually does :)

    • that seals the deal then

Amazing price for a 4.5L stainless pan, but on the rare occasion I make jam doing it in the microwave gets better results. The stovetop tends to burn the bottom.

Don’t sit on the stove top then.

      • Username most definitely checks out

Will making jam make me happy?

Manufacturers site. Oh, someone's beaten me.

Trying to work out what else i can use this for. Maybe a helmet.

$8 delivery ….. for $13 all up can get you a stainless steel bucket and that would be 9 litres ….. so unless it’s click n collect or you actually do want to make jam …

      • Indeed, just wanted the stainless steel bucket and I don't know why.

Just a bargain hunter, who had no intentions of making jam in it, whatsoever and won't do the $8 shipping because I basically don't need the bucket. Unless of course it's a bargain, then I want it. :(

        • Same here. Would get one if click n collect available.

this would be perfect for filling with charcoal and cooking steak.

    Thanks op, got one.
    Available in WA.

  • I don’t make jam but it would probably be good for relishes, etc.

  • THis cutting board seems like a good buy.. was $49 (according to price hipster) now $10

    • They're incredibly small.

    • I have a bunch of chopping boards and avoid cross contamination by washing in hot water. The review was a bit luke warm.

  • yum! dinner out of a bucket

That's essentially KFC yet no-one raises an eyebrow there ;)

  • Are you serious re the oil change? Unless you have a 4wd, it may be too high. I do my own changes: jack up the car, slide underneath with a shallow oil collection plastic pan, undo the sump plug, slide back out, then let the jack down so that the car is level. If you leave the car jacked up, not all the oil will drain.

    • Ford escape

      • sweet :)

      • …ummm… doesn't that take about 5 litres of oil? heh.

I love the suggestions so far though. Other thoughts - flower pot, dinner bell (with one of the $2 spoons), koi pond (for small koi)….

Cheers OP, got the glass bottle and lid.
Only place with stock seems to be Castle Hill so I might as well grab my free burrito there tomorrow also :)

      Double thanks OP :)

Thanks OP - got the pot and a few other things. I actually have been known to make jam, although I just use a basic heavy based pot. Strawberries etc are no longer cheap as we are going into winter, so maybe I might try using frozen berries….. one kilo of frozen berries is about $8, 'jam setting' sugar about $2, and some lemon juice - so from that (after allowing for evaporation etc) you get over a kilo of jam for $10. Coles are currently selling a number of different strawberry jams for around the $2 to $2.50 mark for 500gm so you can just buy a kilo of jam for $5.

Ok. Maybe I'll use it to drain oil as well. ;-)

  • Thanks for the great idea on oil changes for lawn mowers. Repurposing an old pot

  • called me to say no stock
    cancelled my order.

    shame

    • Ahhh I guess that's what my missed call from them was about too. Oh well :(

    • They emailed me and said my order would be delayed as they have to order stock in to fulfil it. I guess I will wait and see if it is actually fulfilled!
