    • hi mate, more is on the way :)
In 7-14 days I will have more for you

      • +1

Any chance these additional phones could be the returned ones from disgruntled ozbargainers who purchased these a few days ago??

  • Hi OP, would you be able to post it today, if I order it now.

I must receive it by tomorrow as I’m flying away on Friday

    • shame it's not claimable under TRS…

  • Does it come with Tax Invoice ?

    • Yes, you will get one from our website and you can also use the payment recpit from Paypal. Its a valid business expense

  • Was hoping there would be some iPhones 7s but no suck luck.

Must say, interesting array of items for sale…tie pins, iPhones and shavers.

  • +2

A lot of horror stories with PhillipDi, I'd stay away.

    • +1

I know its the internet and you can say anything you want without evidence but I'll let my 97% positive feedback on eBay speak for itself, cheers

      • All feedback I've seen about your business on ozbargain is negative. Maybe I'm over-reacting but I'd be very weary.

        • +2

the wonderfull thing about ozbargain is my competitors can trash me without buying anything! haha
          Look at EBAY PLEASE
          https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/phillipdi

96.6% positive, and thats from people who have actually purchased from me, ALSO not to mention if theres an issues people WILL complain, when there's no issue they don't care about leaving feedback.

          Cheers :)

        • @phillipdi: Not a whole lot of transactions over $100 or phones in that recent eBay feedback history though, are there?

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/230795/nodes

        • +3

          [@phillipdi](/comment/6021992/re96.6% Positive is absolyudir):

96.6% feedback on Ebay is absolutely TERRIBLE. It's amazing that your account hasn't been restricted.

        • -3

@llama: Mate, you I dunno about you but anything in the high 90's as a percent is pretty good, I imagine you only being satisfied with 100%, bye

        • +1

@Nomadesque: well 1. eBay's fee's start to impact heavily on more expensive items like phones which is why I don't list them on eBay and 2. That's not transaction history its feedback history which are pretty different

        • @phillipdi:

96% is poor rating. I personally will avoid sellers below 99%.

        • -4

@Ronnnie: 1. 96.7% and 2. Okay but you should not get into your car then.
Its not a 99% chance of survival

        • @phillipdi:
          Great analogy there buddy….

  • All gone OOS

    • sorry? I've been around 6 years

  • Yes I'm also interested in the 6s.

    Thanks Phil

    • awesome! Well I'll do a post about it as soon as I'm able! I don't have as many in stock though only about 10

    • send me a PM with your number and I'll get you the 6s

      • How much is the 6s? Or 6s+? Storage size doesn't matter to me.

        • Hi, your looking at $309.99 when I get them in stock sir (should be 2 weeks)

  • +1

damn deals on all but the specs i need to keep the aging relatives happy. Poor eyesight = needs a plus and atleast 64GB keeps them happy taking photos/videos
    thanks anyway op

    • What about open iCloud for them? Only cost couple of dollars a month. They don't have to worried about transferring data at all.

  • any ACN? I couldn't find it on your website.

      • +4

If you have a business in Australia you need an ABN.

      • dodgy as

  • +2

Ordered one today. See how long it takes to arrive in Brisbane CBD.

  • Even the iPhone is not activated, but it is still not 100% sure BRAND NEW. The official repaired iPhone will reset the activation status again, to repacked as“Genuine” sealed box is not hard in Shenzhen.

    • I don't quite get you mate sorry

      • I think he's saying the Chinese can diddle the iPhone activation status. As I've ordered one from you for my Luddite Father (to replace his 5s) I'm hoping he is wrong and you are good to your word for any warranty issues :-)

        • Would be good to hear from you (and others) here regarding the actuality of newness after you've got the product in hand.

  • Can you confirm these have been shipped?
No shipping confirmation received. So much for express postage.

    • I received it but there is no tracking id and no signature was needed. It came in an open box and seems to have been used.

      • Hi mate, I do have the tracking number on the receipt when I got it from Australia post.
If you asked for it I would send it but seeing as it was express there was no need as you would get it the next day odd

  • +5

I received the item today but it is neither sealed nor new. There is no return address on the packaging (which is a wrapped in a newspaper, mind you). Will open a paypal dispute unless the rep responds.

    • +10

      God damn it.

      • +1

Haha what did I tell ya, this guy has no idea.
I won't say he's shonky, but just doesn't know how to run his business very well.

    • +1

@phillipdi: Can you urgently comment on this situation??

      • +7

        worst response ever.

hahahaha "I test almost all the phones that come to me to ensure there are no issues"

        • +8

let me just get this straight, you open "brand new and genuine" iphones (according to your original post), just to check they're are no issues???
What kind of issues would you anticipate a brand new and genuine iphone would have?
what sort of testing do you do on these brand new and genuine iphones?

        • -6

Thanks for that, but I do sooooo.
I sent bio a PM and am working out what he means.

Because they are all sent out the same, all new, if the postie dropped it I can understand but otherwise I'd like to know what he actually means.

        • @phillipdi: love it "i do sooooo"

        • -7

@Car-la-la: let me get this straight, you think apple and samsung don't test their products?
First issue is called human error! So I'm checking no one in the supply line stuffed up (INCLUDING APPLE/SASMSUNG), of that they were not replaced with fakes by the delivery company (has happened to someone I know) or that they were not dropped, or left near a microwave or strong magnets etc etc.

        • +9

          @phillipdi:
I am confident Apple and Samsung test their products. (More extensively than you or I ever could).
Hence why it is very strange that you would feel the need to further test every one of their products after they've already tested them

        • +10

@phillipdi: right so you are almost certainly selling refurbs as “brand new”

        • @theguyrules: O_O Excuse me?

        • -5

@Car-la-la: Right, I think its safe to say you have never run a phone business before correct?

        • +6

          @phillipdi: good guess.
I'm guessing you have never run a legitimate phone business either?

      • +3

The item I received was not the following:

Brand New and Genuine iPhone 6, in the Original box and "sealed"

Besides the card that is used to hold the SIM tray opening tool was creased. Are you also testing those tools to see if they work correctly?

        • -1

no, I used the little pin there to put a sim card into the tray and make sure the tray opened and shut properly and that it got a signal. When I put it back I must have knocked it.

        • Have you checked the warranty status using the serial number on the box?

        • @theguyrules: Yeah, not sure what it means though:

  • +12

There’s absolutely no reason for a seller to be opening “brand new” phones to check that they are fine.
Best case they are fine and the buyer gets a unopened phone.
Worst case one in 1000 is broken and the seller just exchanges it.

I suspect that these are refurbs, or worse, just used phones and the seller is lying.

    • -3

mate, its legit plastic wrapping, I think we can move past it

  • +5

Just heard from my folks who ordered one:
It didn’t come with USB cable, earphones and the charger is not Aus (but that was expected).

    How is that brand new?

    • Mine came with the USB cable, earphones and the EU charger.

      • Lucky.

      • you know you didn't even send me your order number over PM?

    • +1

The charger is not even the genuine Apple one, just a cheap chinese junk. Don't know if the cable is genuine the phone box and accessories inside have dust inside.
Haven't even switched on the phone.
      The phones are clearly refurbished.
The dodgy reviews do check out.

      • Hi mate, please PM me, I'd like to see what your talking about, so send some pics, as well as your order number, cheers

      • -3

"The charger is not even the genuine Apple one, just a cheap chinese junk."

        Ahh mate…..
        Quick question
        What are you on about?
I use one of these chargers personally (fast charger from a phone returned too me due to change of mind)

And the dust? You are aware they was made in 2014?
        What are you expecting exactly?

        • +2

New with ORIGINAL accessories and no dust INSIDE the box and accessories? Dunno - is that too much to expect?
          [sarcasm intended]

    • Hi mate, I did check them all and they had them all, and they had everything, please shoot me their order number and a photo if you can, anyone can make a post dissing something, please send me the details

      • +1

        100% no cable and earphones.
        Box was dented.
Stickers which were normally on the outside of the box were inside the box on sticker paper, somehow.
        Quite dodgy.

        • Right, well can you please PM me your/their order number as well as some photos?

        • -1

I'm a bit confused here, you said you ordered it, then you said your folks ordered it? Who has the phone?

        • +4

          @phillipdi: I never said I ordered it.

        • +1

          @phillipdi:

Just heard from my folks who ordered one:

He did state his folks ordered one.

  • +1

My aunty ordered one, it arrived today and it's already playing up. Screen has faded out and battery is losing charge extremely quick. I'll post more details about it when I see it tomorrow…

    • Hi mate, please tell your Aunt to contact us on the contact us page and forward me the receipt she got by email or the order number.
I'm more than happy to work it out with her, I'd like to say also your supposed to charge a new phone to 100% before using it for the first time (and do it a few times in a row).

Then we can look at battery consumption, see what apps are on there, if she's leaving BT, WIFI, NFC, and 4G on all at once.

As much as I'd appreciate a hatchet job on my post, I'm going to reply and ask for evidience and I don't want the excuse to be "I don't have the order number my aunt ordered it".

      • +5

I don't think you are handling this serious feedback well.

Hoftos has been a member of this community for considerably longer than you and you are already suggesting they are fabricating their statement despite the fact they voted positive.

Lithium ion batteries do not need any special treatment when in new condition either. You are entitled to ask for the order number but you also need to take these claims seriously and let the community know what you're doing to resolve it.

You can take a step back and resolve this amicably or enrage the community. It's up to you.

        • +1

I'm not suggesting @hoftos is fabricating anything, I am just suprised 1. I didn't hear from the actual person who purchased it, 2. I didn't hear from hoftos directly instead there's a public post, and I'm still waiting for a PM SO I can resolve this issue.

In my experience with battery's lithium or not, its best to charge them to 100% and then go from there, that way we can get a proper and accurate gauge of how long the performance is, and so there's no interference with the battery cache perhaps giving a wrong reading not because they are like the older cadmium battery's.

So, lets resolve this please, PM ME! Even better, get the person who actually purchased it to PM me please, its difficult to resolve an issue through a third party.

          Thank you
          - PM Me

        • @phillipdi: Fair enough and I hope this does come to a mutually agreeable solution.

        • @cyssero: thank you mate I appreciate it, I mean there's 60 days with paypal and you know how strict they are, always in the buyers favor (its their business model).

People also need to keep in mind, the batter is Four years old, and its a smart phone.
Anyway, I have resolved some issues like this in the past, most of the time it came down to soft resets and user activity, lets see how it goes

      • +2

Alright so sorry for a bit of misinformation, I'll PM you my order number. I ordered it for my aunty using my email so I have the invoice.

Here's an album of the phone https://imgur.com/a/SInvuO9

So you delivered an iPhone 6s instead of 6, and the charger is an EU one…

Also, the screen was working fine for the first hour, then it turned into this. There's no damage on the exterior.

  • This thread has turned into an absolute car crash

    • -1

      ok, lets change its cource

    • +11

It is a shock to me that a seller can open an iPhone, check / try the charger, try out the SIM ejection tool, and then sell it as brand new, sealed.

The issues reported are from people who have positive voted this deal (some have now retracted their votes but they did positive vote the deal initially).

It's long weekend so this could drag on a bit.

  • +12

Looks like PhillipDi's competitors are once again out in force and trashing his exemplary reputation! (rolls eyes)

When it comes to customer service, past performance is definitely an indicator of future performance.

Totally baffled as to why this got so many upvotes given this guy's history. Negging for major issues with retailer.

    • +1

Check the 6s thread I predicted this and got down voted. What a surprise old phones refurbed from china

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/382975#comment-6023724

    • +1

The seller is shrewd. He is taking advantage of situation:

      • These phones are priced like refurbished phones. When customers found out they are refurbished, they have a dilemma. Though these are 3rd party refurbished, at least the outside appearance of the phone is close to, if not the same as Apple refurbished - which is still better than most used iPhone(s) from local sellers (or some of the locally refurbished iPhones sold here).

It comes down to customer's perceived value of the well refurbished iPhone received. Some, if not most of the buyers will cave in and accept the imperfection on the accessories (or fake accessories) if the phone is well refurbished, and the price is to their liking. It's unfortunate, but there is not much we can do about it.

We might be winning the argument here, but the seller is the one laughing all the way to the bank.

  • If it was me sellng these FAKE / REFURBISHED / 2ND HAND phones I would at least spend 5-10 mnutes on each to make sure they at least LOOK LIKE the genuine thing.

I dont sell 2nd hand stuff, but as an analogy I can offer the following: (I would never do this but it's a theory ;)

Say in theory, I bought a power tool from bunnngs a few yeas ago, I do not use it much and want to get rid of it. Why bother with ebay when I can spend 10 minutes to clean it up,dust it off, and RETURN it to bunnings without a receipt, and get it exchanged AT FULL PURCHASE PRICE for something I really need.

So our friend Phil can spend a few mnutes to at least TRY to fool buyers, instead of playing them for fools outright.

    Happy lng weekend to all!

    • -3

Excuse mate, you literally have no clue. There's nothing to even reply to here, they are genuine and new, you can't say fake/refurbished/second hand, it can't be all 3, your argument is invalid.

  • -3

Hi all, almost everyone would have their iPhone 6 by now (only some 6s's have not gone out)

So far I have had 1 person come to me with their order ID and an issue which I have now resolved (screen broken during transit, a return has been processed and they will be refunded).

If anyone has actually purchased a phone from me and is having an issue, please PM me with 1. The issue and 2. Your order number and we can resolve it :)

  • +3

Just thought someone missed this deal may want to hear aboutan update from someone who purchased the phone. Note that this update ONLY represents this experience purchasing iPhone 6 with them.
    1. Delivery was very quick. Parcel arrived last Friday. I picked it up today.
    2. Battery performance is at 81%. So Apple store didn’t recommend for a battery replacement.
    3. Phone at time does not respond as expected. Had a general test at Apple store. They quoted a $390+gst to fix up. They believe that the screen had been replaced and maybe something wrong inside. I didn’t take it to fix, because Optus sells iPhone 6 brand new at $420. And the issue is Bad enough for a repair. Once it reaches its time, I am hoping to send it to PhillipDi.com for repair (?).
Overall, it is a nice purchase (maybe too early to come to conclusion). I may consider buying other refurbished products with them at the right price.
Btw, I don’t see the point of selling it as new phone. Most people purchased it would know it is refurbished. (Don’t know why I made such conclusion for the most). Hopefully, it can last a year of usage.

    • +5

Better of Paypal dispute and get one from Optus you’ll be lucky to get three months out this refurb

      • +2

Can I claim full refund for receiving a refurbished phone that supposed to be a brand new?

        • +1

Yep item not as described get the quote from Apple to prove makes it easy or photo of fake accessories and battery

        • +5

OP clearly stated that these products were 'Brand New and Genuine iPhone 6, in the Original box and "sealed"'.

All reports here indicate they were not that.

Not sure what the OP is trying here. It would seem more sensible to market these as good quality refurbs, rather than this blind bait and switch. After all, it would only take one pissed off enough customer to cause a fair amount of pain for OP (see OP dodging ABN question above).

Maybe OP is getting his info from China that these are 'Brand New and Genuine iPhone 6, in the Original box and "sealed"' and is just passing that on. The phrase 'never attribute to malice that which can adequately be explained by stupidity' springs to mind here.

        • -2

@g452: No. There's a difference between testing a phone and it being a "used" phone.
We are talking about a brand new phone here sitting in a box for 4 years, being moved from warehouse to warehouse before finally making its way to me in Melbourne.

You would be a fool not to test that non of them have been damaged.

Anyway, the next batch here will not require my testing, the will not need to be opened.
The ones I was selling here came from a new supplier so I tested them all. The next phones won't be tested by me at all.

  • +1

So here's my story about ordering this iPhone 6.

It arrived as an iPhone 6s not a 6, and in the box were headphones and a European charger.
The physical look of the phone seemed as if it was brand new: no damage/cracks.
However, the screen was broken internally and I'm not sure why.
I contacted Phillip, sent through all the photos and details (IMEI,etc.), and he requested i ship it back to him.

He received the phone and has now given me a refund.
