    lol 16gb in 2018

      • +9

16GB is more than enough for music, photos and apps, anything else, store it on the cloud, its safer and more accessible :)

Would you mind telling us what phone you are using and how much storage does it have?

        • I recently upgraded to a 32GB s7, I have well over 16GB free

      • -2

That's a poor excuse for not having a product that is more than 16GB.

What if people don't want Cloud storage of their photos?
What if their cloud storage is full and don't want to pay a fee for extra cloud storage?
What if I have a large amount of local apps which use up the 16GB?

It's 2018; avoid 16GB (unless all you're doing is using the phone to make and take calls - but then why use an Iphone for that anyway - buy a $70 phone)

        • +11

No need to be so angry about it. What if people aren't limited by the restrictions you've listed and want an iphone?

      • +2

I agree. I have 16Gb and it only fills up due to so many video recordings of my kids.

        • +1

i have 32 gb on an android phone and only use 24gb and most is just crap pictures nobody wants to see or apps i haven’t used in a year …..

if want IOS it’s a cheap way to get into the ecosystem.

      • +3

dont be ridiculous. 16gb on a phone is like the OS, 100 photos and a high end game

        • +1

how big is the game, how big is ios, how big are the photos ……we still make do with some 16 gb ipads in our house no issues …..

i hate when people make statements without maths or facts to back them up.

    • +3

Considering this is a few years old and the price what does that mean? If you want more storage this deal is not for you.

      • Like saying "if you want a different phone, this deal is not for you".

    • +2

16gb or 8gb is fine for some people. For example, my father only got few apps (i download the apps for him), make/receive calls, take photos few times a year. He doesnt even need 8gb.

  • Is this grey market?

    • +2

Hi, its the A1586 model so its from Overseas BUT it works on ALL Australian Bands, 2G, 3G and 4G (including band 28).
Apple stopped covering this model a year or so back (even if its the Australian model) which is why we offer a 1 year warranty

  • +5

Brand New and Genuine iPhone 6, in the Original box and "sealed

    👍🏼

    • +2

Cheers for the like mate :)

  • +4

Why is the word "sealed" in quotation marks? Is it factory sealed .. or maybe re-sealed?

    • +2

I say "sealed" because I hear that word round everywhere including in shops but when you go there right and buy it its not like "sealed" its got those boxes which are re-openable, so I say "sealed" quoting what people say when they refer to an entirely new phone in its new box unused but its not like Vacuum sealed/packed which is what I think the definition of "sealed" is closer too.

So they are entierly new, unused, in their original packaging the same way you would buy it at Harvey Norman or JBHIFI (if they stocked them)

      • So is yours sealed or not? Sounds like you’re saying it’s not in a vacuum pack-type seal?

      • @bio

  • +2

It’s compatible with iOS 12 and they are bringing in performance increases across all phones with it. So this should run reasonably well. 16gb, even with iCloud Photo Library and optimise storage turned on, isn’t a lot of storage to work with. So if you take a lot of photos, you might want to consider a 6S

    • +4

Certainly, and I do have 6s's but there's a posting limit, I'll post it in a few days

    • +2

Good comment Burst. I have zero Apple products but I have to commend them for supporting the iPhone 6 with their latest iOS release and still focussing on performance. From The Verge:

Apple is working to make iOS feel faster than ever — particularly on older iPhones and iPads. Federighi said that in Apple’s tests on an iPhone 6 Plus, apps launch 40 percent faster, the system keyboard comes up 50 percent faster, and opening the camera is 70 percent faster. Apple is working to speed things up for the full range of devices supported by iOS 12.

      • +1

"Apple is working to make iOS feel faster than ever " only once their previous "slow it" policy was exposed.

        Just "no" to Apple.

        • I am pretty sure if your iPhone 6 had a worn out battery ios12 will still implement power management that results in a phone a lot slower than the same model with a battery in good condition.

        • @entropysbane: They implemented the throttling because aged batteries were unable to supply sufficient power to the CPU during peak demand, resulting in unexpected shutdowns. It was done to prevent damage to the internals components and potential data loss. It's also not great if you phone is shut down unexpectedly.

Having said that, they should have communicated this earlier and been more transparent. They (profanity) up with that and the reason is possible questionable, but these things are complicated.

In the end, it was done for engineering reasons, but it should have been publicly stated in a more transparent way, sp people could make educated decisions, on replacing batteries, rather than upgrading phone, as the battery degraded.

  • Any discount on the iPhone 6s ?

    • +3

Yes, I have a discounted iPhone 6s but I have yet to make a post or listing about it on my Website, its in the same condition as the iPhone 6 and I don't have a specific price yet, now I'm selling them for $349.99 but I need to do some more research.

      • Are you able to add the 6s to this thread?

        • Is 6s also oversea model?

  • +1

Did I mention it was "limited" quantity? I have approximately 18 in stock in Melbourne and a few on display in some partner stores

    • Worth adding that to the OP

      • +1

        will do

  • I like your deals

    • Why thank you for the support! :)

  • i am after a 6s or 6s plus, minimum 32gb, what prices you have?

    • I don't have any iPhones above 16GB In Australia however if your happy for it to come from my warehouse from China (like most of my other deals) then at the moment (because I have not made a bulk order) it will be
      iphone 6s 64GB AUD 434.98
      iphone 6 64GB AUD 342.75

So check out the prices and see if they are acceptable too you, but I have not placed a bulk order so it isnt the lowest price it can be, but it might be vs my competitors

      • what about the 6s plus prices

        • +1

          iphone 6s Plus 128GB AUD 692.23
          iphone 6s plus 64GB AUD 630.56

        • -1

          @phillipdi:

Not cheap, from ebay can have it about $500 or under. above 600 better off buy a 7. even you can get a iphone x for 999 now

        • +12

@dreamzz: Probably why this is a posted deal for the 6 and not the 6s/7/X

  • +2

    16GB

    Dont do it…

    • It's ok if you just check emails.

    • 16GB is perfectly fine.

Not everyone installs games on their phones.

      • I don't play games. But I do put media (movies and music) on. 16GB is not enough unless you only use the browser and a few light apps.

Even 32GB is not enough for me unless there's expandable storage, which there isn't.

  • Ozbargain listing: Brand New
Site Listing: No mention of it being a new phone. Just that it is in the original box

Might want to double check before committing

    • it does say "The phone is in the ORIGINAL box and with the original headphones, charger etc" and I just fixed the title to say "new"

  • If I activated the phone and the warranty check shows the warranty has expired or less than 1 year left, will I be able to return it and get a full refund (with return postage fully paid for by the seller)?

    • Sorry what do you mean?

      • +3

Apple changed how the warranty works a couple of years ago so that it starts when the phone is activated for the first time. If these are brand new, then the 1 year warranty should still apply.

Basically, just checking these are 100% brand new, rather than demo or refurbished stock with Apple warranty already elapsed.

        • +1

ohh right, sweet, I wasn't aware of the change, I'll neet to look into that, however apple might chuck a hissy fit over it being the A1586 model, it does come with our 1 year warranty however.

        • @phillipdi:one year apple warranty or third party?

        • +2

@phocus: "our" meaning Mine meaning PhillipDi.com

        • +2

@phillipdi: At least you are honest about it.

        • @phillipdi:

apple might chuck a hissy fit over it being the A1586 model

A1586? So Apple Australia won't be able to provide warranty support because they don't have them in stock for warranty.

        • +2

@b-radicool: thanks mate, there no point in the lying

        • +1

@netsurfer: thats correct apple Australia might give you issues because its an overseas model, I know my mate from Australia went to Japan with a new iPhone and got it replaced (it has no option to turn the camera shutter noise off).

You will have our 1 year warranty however :)

        • @phillipdi: Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

        • +1

@netsurfer: no problem, it you need anything else to make an informed decision please let me know

        • It didn’t change, it has always been that way.

The part you’re missing is that the 1 yr timer auto starts (for any remaining units) a little while after they stop selling a model. Of course though this doesn’t affect statutory warranty.

        • @phillipdi: Thanks rep, bought one. Apple AU happily replaced my US bought iPhone 5 before (they ordered the replacement from US) but your mileage may vary.

        • @phillipdi: Thanks for posting the deal, but FYI just be aware that you may need to still accept warranty repairs after one year (or whatever is 'reasonable' which is perhaps closer to two years), as Australian Consumer Law rights can't be abrogated.

    • Pretty sure it's seller warranty and not Apple warranty.

      • Its my warranty not apples warranty yes

        • What do you do when someone returns something? Do you pull out the screwdriver?

    • +2

Definitely, do as netsurfer suggests as a cautionary step.

You can check your device's services and support details here. Check the serial number written on the box, before turning on the device, then ensure that the serial number matches with what's displayed on the Phone's system settings.

If the page returns a message like: "This phone has not been activated", then it's brand new.

Further instructions available here, if you require further clarification on the steps described.

In no way am I suggesting that OP's stock isn't the condition as OP states, but since it's grey stock and no clear indication on whether he's sourcing them from an Authorised Apple Reseller, then for all OP and we know, it could be sourced from anywhere.

  • +2

    welcome back 2015

  • +3

    "sealed" hahahaha

    • -4

Yeah, what is “sealed” versus sealed?

      • Read the thread, OP has already answered your question before you posted it.

        • My comment was more of an agreeance with lakers1222’s comment than than an actual question, which is why it was a reply to lakers1222’s comment and not an open comment. Describing the condition of an item using inverted commas is odd, and clarification shouldn’t be buried amongst dozens of other comments - it should be in the title description.

As it turns out, “sealed” means not sealed. You learn something every day.

        • +1

Turns out the OP Is full crap (surprise) because people that purchased are having all sort of issues with their “new” and “sealed” phones.

  • +4

Better to get an SE or 6S.

    • +3

It Certainly depends on your needs, I'll be posting an 6s soon too

      • 6s would be interesting … have gotten used to bigger screen on android, would like iPhone again ..

how much will the 6S be when you list ?

        • if I knew the price I would have listed it allready :)

        • They have 6 Plus and 6S Plus you know.

  • If i have a proble how long is the apple warranty in Australia?

    • +1

The tricky part is that it is A1586. Apple Australia normally do 1 year warranty for overseas phones BUT Apple Australia don't stock these so they won't be able to do warranty for you on the spot. Whether they can send it overseas or get a replacement from overseas to do the warranty for you I am not sure…

Seller is honest about it though. It's a pity because A1586 is a flexible model in terms of bands supported.

  • If you can do a better price on a Galaxy S7, I'll be interested in that.

  • +1

Phil your profile pic keeps me awake at night… why are you so happy? What do you know that we don't?

    • +8

Hi mate, I think I replied that I'm a ghost and my image haunts all those who were involved in my untimely death ;)

But no, seriously, good question, I think it's because I expect almost nothing "good" out of life per say and when something good does happen its even more awesome because it was unexpected. But that's a deeper Phill ospohical question

      • +2

Damn it Phil, I love a good pun, take your damn upvote.

        • -1

;) I'm certain you will Phill the Quality on this deal

  • +1

Wow still selling these. I should sell my old iphone 6 64gb sitting in my draw

It was super slow so dont hold your breath if you’re concerned about speed

    • +2

Hi mate, wipe it and see how the speed was, ALSO replace the battery, I'm sure you know about the apple battery performance CPU performance thing right? That's probably whats killing its speed. If you want PM me and I can probably buy it off you and sell it as second hand

      • Okay sounds like an option for me considering its not doing anything. How do we do this?

        • pm me

    • Got one for my dad to replace his 5 which no longer charges, otherwise he's still happy with it.

      • It should have arrived today yea?

        • Not yet!

        • @theguyrules: ok, pm me your order number and I'll pull up the tracking

    • I sold my iPhone 6 128gb for $400 last Oct to cash converters

Battery was not lasting long too

  • @phillipdi, do you still have stock ? I am getting this message
