check price hipster and it seems to be the cheapest it's been at.

although it seems it was on ozbargain cheaper once due to a price error at scanning https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/372491 some of the bonus's from the older link might still apply.

Bought the machine on the previous $199 deal and haven't had a great experience with it - From the machine having a broken hot water pipe causing it to leak everywhere when purchased (which has only just last week been replaced by DJ's), to the pod dispenser tray overflowing with water after four coffees.

If you can wait I would recommend waiting for the ~$100 deals that come up on this place every now and then for a basic machine.

    • thanks for the feedback. Lucky i missed out on that last one.

    • Thanks for the feedback..I was about to get one

To provide some contrast, I got this machine on the $200 deal with $40 cashback and coffee credit as well and it has been pretty good overall, nothing broken etc. with only a few mishaps with it not extending the pour when I pressed the button, however I have been using 3rd party capsules so it may not even be the machines fault. Other than that it has been great.
I don't know if I would pay more than $200 (including the same deal) however.

    • Your first issue might be caused by mishandling during delivery.

Second issue about the tray, I don’t know…I clean mine and rid the water after every 1-2 cups of coffee. So it’s working fine for me.

      • @ryangoal Most likely, or perhaps the tube for the hot water wasn't correctly secured, either way DJ's have replaced the unit but took many weeks for them to do so. I have read reviews online which highlight some poor manufacture issues but wouldn't say that every unit would have this issue of course.

I have owned two Nespresso machines previously, two Citiz machines and a Latissima + Milk. My experience with those machines is that you can make 5 - 7 coffees without needing to empty the spent capsule bin in the machine, nor have any overflowing excess water. My experience with the Expert Machine is that the spent capsule bin needs to be emptied more and produces more waste water than the others. It is in this context that I would suggest that the Expert Machine isn't as well equipped as its cheaper counter parts.

That being said, what I really like about the Expert machine is that it does give you the ability to adjust the temperature of the coffee and also the length of pour, plus a dedicated hot water function.

Not true sorry @julz, purchase of machine has to have occurred before 20 May 2018. Where the machine was purchased prior to 20 May 2018 then you can claim the offer up until 20 June 2018 per your link.

      • Cool thanks for the correction - saved me from buying.

      • Could you photoshop your receipt? No way they’d know right?

Bought when the $199 deal was on. Wife makes a coffee every morning. No problems thus far

Bought at $199, very happy with the machine.

    • Are you going to invite me and the others over for a coffee considering we technically paid for some of it with the money you scammed from us?

What is the hot water function like? I have a basic Nespresso machine, but I wanted to get one of these to replace my kettle for making tea as well as pod coffee.

    • @cheeseboy I bought this machine for that same reason. I wouldn't buy this as a substitute for your kettle to make tea because the water doesn't get to boiling point. I tried making a cup of green tea with this machine as apposed to my kettle and found the tea to be less tasty - all personal preference though I would say.

  • Missed out on the last deal and have been waiting for this exact machine to go on sale again. Thanks Dowhatuwant great deal!

  • Also got it at the last deal and hasnt skipped a beat since!

  • Thanks mate, just bought one! Just need to know where to get cheap capsules now…

    • Most supermarkets have several varieties. Some of the non-genuine capsules tend to not work properly, depending on your machine. I have a 5 year old Citiz & Milk and it can handle any brand.
However my partner has a newer version and that has issues with excessive water going straight into the water tray and not filling the cup, when using non-genuine capsules. The new L'OR pods are now aluminum and they work perfectly.

  • Nice looking machine! Not sure what the fuss is about with the broken water pipe above, I had a machine that broke after almost 2 years and Nespresso fixed it in a heartbeat, good as new.

    • I had a machine 2 days after 12months and Nespresso asked me to basically DIY fix it. I guess it's luck.

Went out and bought a proper espresso machine and made proper coffee. Americano looks like water. Very limited on what a 7~9g coffee pod can produce
