If you are invited to participate in the promotion you will be given a unique promotional URL. Your promotional code can be used a maximum of 3 times. If you or a friend/family member signs up to a new postpaid mobile service by 1 July 2018 using your unique promotional code and maintains that service for a minimum of 30 days you will receive a $20 credit per referral up to a maximum of $60. Any applicable credit will be applied to your account by 20 August 2018 and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. If you or a friend cancels the new service within 30 days of activation you will not be entitled to a credit for that referral. Optus staff with a corporate Postpaid plan as their only Postpaid Mobile service are ineligible to refer their friends and family. Optus staff who have a personal Postpaid Mobile service are eligible to refer their friends and family and receive credit.

If you have been sent a unique code by an existing Optus customer or use the code yourself and sign up a new postpaid mobile plan using the unique code by 1 July 2018, you are eligible to a 20% discount off the monthly access fees of that service for a period of up to 24 months. Even if the plan term of the postpaid mobile service is less than 24 months, if you stay connected for longer the discount will be applied for24 months. The 20% discount is forfeited if you cancel or change plans and the discount is limited to the first 3 connections using the relevant promotional code. This discount is not available with any other discount offers.

        Looks like the 40gb plan, is $65 through Optus (20% off,$52)
        Virgin switch, 40gb plan is $50.

    was $50 per referral and 25% off discount for the referred person last year.

      Also, the discount continued for the life of the plan as long as you don’t make any changes. This new one only gives you the smaller discount for a limited period.

    Spoke to chat and if you're already with Optus, you'll need to port your number away to another carrier and then back again.

    Now, does anyone know where I'd be able to get a free SIM card? Vodafone prepaid SIM was the cheapest I could find, $1 delivered.

      Optus student hub has terrible plans for the S9+ which already include the 10% off. Even 20% off is worse then the regular S9+ plan :( and also "This discount is not available with any other discount offers."

    Signed up to plan, got a temporary order number but no permanent order number in 2 days. Optus chat told me that 20% doesn't apply as this is a $59 promo plan. They got me to put in all details for credit check again and then gave a pending order number. Hoping this goes through as previous experiences with Optus chat have been mostly poor. Surprised though that they are refusing the 20% discount, I'll have to chase that up later.
