  Just checked Southern Cross Travel Insurance and even after discount it is way cheaper. TID is no longer competitive.

    You mean "in my case".
    TID are $5 cheaper for "The Works" plan and $20 cheaper for "The Basics" plan after 15% off for me and my partner during an 8 day trip to Bali in September.
    So they are definitely still competitive.
