Lucky i held out on the standard edition on PSN store for $25 couple of weeks ago.

    Amazing value!!!

  • Out of stock currently so be prepared to wait

  • +1

Any way of getting free delivery without buying another $29 worth of stuff?

  • Delivery $7?

    • I get $5.99 delivery to Melb.

  • +1

Can still add to cart via this link (YMMV with whether you get one though).

    • +1

I think you can back order

      • +1

Yep, but you don't always get it, had some issues in the past with Amazon US, where an item was back ordered but was later cancelled (Hence, the YMMV).

So tempted to purchase a PS4 given all these great deals and my love of RPGs, but currently already have a PS3 :(

    • +2

With all these deals, now will be one of the cheapest times to buy. The way I see it: From the last Amazon deal, a PS4 is $279. This game is $20 and you can easily get 20-50 hours of playtime out of it (it’s a spectacular game!)

Even at 20 hours, that’s about $15/hour for some enjoyment on one game. 40 hours would be $7.50/hour of enjoyment. Grab another game on sale and it’s even less.

How often do you spend $7.50 or more on DVDs/Take out/Coffees/Drinks? For a bit of downtime a night or two a week, it’s a good investment IMO.

Mine is perfect for watching netflix. Saves the hassle of connecting in my laptop and fussing around with display settings.

        • u know there’s a thing called chrome cast right ? Easier to navigate using your phone.

        • @sauce2k: I forgot the feature but I used to have a TV with it, basically you could turn it on with the chromecast itself so I could literally turn on my TV and start watching shows with 4 taps on my phone. I miss that but I sold the TV cuz it was in my bedroom and had no need for it whatsoever.

      • Will probably be looking to purchase in the lead-up to EOFY. I might get a coffee and take out once a week, so pretty frugal from that point of view, but it’s looking like a good reason to pull the trigger

      • Where is the PS4 279 on amazon au? Have I missed this deal? Currently the PS4 1tb is listed at $379

    • +1

      Definitely time to move on.

  • I am trying to finish Assassins Creed Origins I picked up for cheap as. That is a huge game! Tempted to get this but Red Dead 2 is coming out as well.

God of War is $59 which I am yet to pick up!

Too many epic games and not enough time.

    • This game isn't quite the monster that a lot of modern RPG-type games are. I'm not sure how long the DLC portion is, but I platinum'd the the base game in around 3 weeks. I think average completion time is around 45-50 hours (main story plus most of the side quests), plus maybe 10-15 for the DLC.

Wow, thanks, I got price difference refunded after talking to their customer service

    • Cheers.. Enjoy :)

    • How do you talk to customer care?
And is that before its been shipped?

      • Choose to file a claim, then there is customer service option on bottom, I choose to talk to them through online chat

    • Do you think I should still try to get the difference refunded even if the updated price would make my total order now be just below $79 (ie. making the amazon20 I used ineligible.)? Would that mean they would charge an additional $20 since the promo code would no longer work?

      • I'm in a similar boat to you as I used that code. I messaged their help staff who cancelled the original order of Horizon, requested I reorder the item at the reduced price with Priority shipping and reply back so that he could waive the shipping cost. No mention of the Amazon 20 code and all other items from my order are still listed as normal

      • I am not sure, but it always worthy a shot, isnt it?

    • Can confirm, customer service via email will reply and provide refund of difference. They told me that the refund will have to occur at the time the item is shipped (i.e. 2-3 weeks).

      :)

  • I've already got the main game on disc - the compete edition adds Frozen Wilds DLC doesn't it…? Mmmm, probably best to just hold off and get the DLC - although it's on sale now in PSN Store and still more than this entire pack! Is Frozen Wilds good? I'll check some reviews.

    • i'm in the same boat! think i might buy this and gumtree the base game for $10-15?

      • Could do, but unless getting free postage on the Amazon deal I'll stick with my vanilla copy. Such a games backlog that I may never get to the DLC anyway!

    Jeez… that delivery fee….

  • +1

Digital only fans, HZD is currently available in the Aus PS Store for $22.10

    • +2

      Does that include the DLC?

      • +1

No it doesn't. Also, I forgot to point out that price is for PS Plus members. Regular discount is $24.95

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition (includes DLC) is $39.95. For PS Plus members it's $36.45.

  • +3

Should probably note other games for $20 so people can grab 4 for $60 with amazon20

    Gravity rush 2
    Nioh
    Uncharted 4
    Uncharted 4 lost legacy $19

  • Currently have 21 brand new sealed, unopened games gathering dust waiting to be played but not enough time
About 5 months until the new Battlefield game comes out….

Do you guys leave them sealed or do you open them? I worry if I run into an unlucky one with no disc inside which has happened once before
I shake them but some I cant tell if its disc or the manual making some sound lol

    • Just open them if that's a genuine concern?

    • I bought a PS4 game from EB games and left it sealed for a couple of weeks. Once I opened it, I then found the case was damaged. I am not sure whether the staff purposely gave me that copy because I asked for a price match. I generally open new games purchased nowadays just to make sure everything is okay.

You don't have to open them, but do check the cases carefully, especially the corners as the shrink wrap makes it hard to see cracks at the edges of the case. My Halo 5 + Master chief collection is still sealed. Came with XB1S I bought back in 2016, but Halo 5 is in GamePass and I had GamePass for a couple of month.

Dunno what to do with old games. EB games paid really lousy price. Selling them on feeBay, my main concern is cheap packaging could lead to case being damaged, proper packaging - the postage cost is too high making it not worthwhile for the buyers. Wish there is a way to sell games cheap and have buyers pick them up.

      • The reason not to open them is that if the same game drops in the price I could try selling as brand new later on while I repurchase the cheaper one, the moment you open them even if you dont play them it is then considered used and lowers the value

    • lolwut

    • Weird

    • 21? Haha I thought I was bad with 15 unopened games sitting here collecting dust… Which games you got waiting to play?

    • If it's a concern, you could.. you know.. not buy games you don't plan on opening.

At what point do you think, I already have 10-15-20 games sitting there unopened, maybe I won't buy this brand new game to add to this pile?

Now thinking about cost, a majority of games lose have their shelf value after the first 6 months, just a conservative guesstimate is $500-$600 of dust you have gathered there!

    • where do you buy all your games sealed?

EB, Big W, Target and JB gut all the games.

      • Amazon au, Jb and Ozgameshop
I try to avoid EB games like the plague since they sell unsealed games and you never really know, not to mention they have a 7 days return guarantee and we all know what they do with those games… Everything bar one game I have purchased at JB have all been sealed for both pickup and delivery

The current BOGOF on Amazon worked out so cheap it was criminal not to buy lol
Worked out to be 4 games for $20, thats $5 a pop….. Those same 4 games are going for $80 at JB atm
Con of having so many is that I tend to rush through the gameplay

Also I never buy 'new' games as in just released for full retail, I buy them a year or two after. Unless its a multiplayer game like Battlefield
Dont have God of War yet and dont plan on buying it anytime.
Have definitely hit that point now and wont be buying anymore ;)

  • For those thinking of going to JB, it's definitely worth a shot. I just grabbed the last copy of HZD:CE from Robina JB - & it wasn't in the 2 for 40 bin! It was on the games shelf so definitely was missed till now. Keep searching OzB!

  • Price has reverted to @24.95

    • edit: please ignore
