Posting this as it recently dropped in price, plus after June it won't directly ship here anymore.

Found 3.5% cashback for watches works on topcashback/Amazon too for anyone interested

  • -4

Not much of a deal….cheapest on Camel is US$25.20 and average is US$40.

    • Did you read the first line in the description? After this month Camel will be irrelevant to Australia.

      • +6

I'm going to miss all the Amazon USA bargains

      • -3

How will camel be less irrelevant than Amazon after June? A deal is a deal regardless of delivery issues (and there are ways around that anyway).

        • +3

Will you post deals that won't ship to Australia?

        • +1

@PJC: This isn't a deal. It's been cheaper before and is $2 below the average price.

        • @ramboando: It certainly is a deal if nobody finds a lower price currently available. That is why it has 36 votes even though this specific watch has been posted several times before.

Currently, Amazon.com.au offer it for $104.89, Ice Jewellery sold out at $139, Diamonds and Time want $169 and I haven't looked at eBay. Australian watch vendors charge what they want and play all kinds of games with price. My favoured example of that charges $269 - reduced, they say, from $390! They call that a Celebration of Time - please inform us how they respond to a requested price match.

    • +2

Have you a link to a lower price please?

    • -3

Careful, they take their watch posts very seriously in these parts.

  • +1

Personally I think you're better off getting one of those cheap $5ish imitations.
The ones I've had have all broken where watch meets band.

    • +2

It's not that I don't believe you, but that's very rarely happens on square G-Shocks. Old Mudmasters, Rangeman, yes maybe. Not squares.

      • +4

Mine is going strong, dw5600 has been great. Was bought from one of watchnerd's approx $40aud deal

        • +5

I brought my DW5600 late last year on the same Watchnerd all time low deal late last year as well.

Yes, I'm going to miss Amazons watch deals, although I probably have enough now! I've brought seven from Amazon deals in less than a year. All at or around the Camel all time low. Only had one problem, my Victorinox watch arrived 8 days past the ETA. Amazon refunded me in full when it was about 5 days past ETA. When the watch arrived never wanted me to return it! Just happened to be the most expensive watch I brought! Go Amazon US!

Thanks to everyone who posted the Amazon deals:)

          @windyhill: Good result!

  • +3

I love this watch so much I might buy another one as back up…Although I quite like the negative display version too.

    • Same here. Found one version for $90.25. I think that's a good price? Pretty tempted.

      • If that's delivered, then yeah quite good.

  • +2

    Thanks, grabbed one.

  • I wouldn't recommend this watch. The design and fit of the GWM5600 is much better. It only costs a few extra Big Macs.

    • I own one and it wears fine. In fact it's one of Casio's biggest sellers.
Also it's not as big as most G-Shocks, so it's good for people with skinny wrists.

Do you have a link to the GWM5600 for the price of a few extra Big Macs please? That should be posted as a deal.

      • +1

I think he means a couple of extra big Macs above the price of the dw5600.
I'm interested in where he's getting that model for too. Please post!

        • G5600 (solar sans atomic) is only $120ish. Less battery change, less fuss. Which I'd prefer myself.

    • +1

You must be buying some expensive Big Macs.

  • +1

Would it fit a 10 year old?

    • Too big.

    • I may be wrong … this says "Great for kids or small wrists." which surprises me because of the dimensions in WatchNerd's description.

    • +1

For a 10 year old i suggest a Casio F91W-1, its cheap and will last 2-3 years easily.

    • My 4yo loves wearing mine, but it's too big. Got him a casio f105w instead. Perfect for a 4-12yo

      • Your 4 year old fits that watch? Damn.

  • -2

A $20 wrist band is way more useful than these.

    • +2

Most watches I post just have the time, day & date. If you look at the specs this has more than that, so I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion.

It has 2438 customer reviews and Casio actually make this model in different colours, solar, black out and a negative display because it's so popular.

    • +1

Nah, your $20 wrist band holds nothing to this casio, mate. If you think that, you don't know much about casios and the history of the dw5600 model.
I have a panerai, tag, longines, but my casios are still my go-to watches

  • Yet it doesn't support Australian date format…

    • +1

Yeah it's an issue with Casio. No way of changing the date format to British / Aus format of DD-MM. But you get used to it quickly.

    • +4

They want $104.89 for the same watch.

      • I’m talking about all watches, just to dbl check, haven’t looked if it’s cheaper or not

  • +2

    Thanks watchnerd!

  • +3

Thanks WatchNerd, been looking out for a deal like this for a few weeks now, you just saved me $30, awesome watch.

  • Just added Casio G-Shock Mudman G-9000-1V to the deal.
