Fantastic work PJC, A great collection of minimalist watches that are simple in aesthetic and design.

    • +4

You know what sucks? When you're scrolling through Instagram and you see a nice 'affordable' watch, only to click on it and realise it costs $65. Why do nice, minimalist products cost so damn much?

      • +1

Well offhand I would say its the costs in logistics (bulk shipping costs to the US Australia, customs fees, warehousing costs, product handing fees, USPS / UPS Austpost costs). No joke - all that stuff can turn a $40 $9.60 product into $100 $65 product pretty quickly.

        • +10

Yes indeed, costs can be significant, especially when you place an order a giant gong sounds in their office, Ghost Town DJs starts playing at an illegal volume and they all run around screaming, firing nerf guns into the ceiling and fist pumping spastically in celebration. Once everyone has returned to a semi-calm state they sit down at the desks, return their now smashed monitors to an upright position and place your order with the manufacturers.

        • +1

Really, all that seems like a lot of bother. It would probably just be easier to drop-ship from AliExpress.

Then you just need to work out how to market them.

        • +4

@xev: I suppose one could be photographed beside a Ferrari and posted on Instagram.

        • +1

@PJC: or if you can't find a Ferrari, photoshop it, lol

        • +1

@xev: damn, you guys are savage πŸ˜‚

      • +1

Just glad this isn't one of those lame Watch scams on IG that list them as free but then shipping is 40 bucks

I really like this new form of posts, it's not too packed with info, straight to the point but still informative. Thanks for posting PJC!

    • +5

There was more information in my original effort which is unpublished. I don't provide videos anymore because nobody ever mentioned one.

    • -1

how?? instead of "DO NOT PAY $52 seen elsewhere" why not just say (Was USD$4.99)

  • +5

Great effort PJC you and WatchNerd always post real bargain watch deals to cater for all budgets :).

    • +1

No. 07 CHRONOS 40mm Watch Black & Black in pure minimalist style has refined the wrist timepiece to the most elegantly simple that is possible in design. This small case breath-of-fresh-air into the minimalist scene has stripped its design down to stunning lines and tones.

      • +1

Yes but is the watch strap high quality? Is it real leather made from the buttocks of unicorns?

        • +1

I am not at liberty to divulge that information.

        • +1

no because it says PU leather, so it is synthetic.

        • +4

          @Savas:
PU Leather = Polychromatic (ie rainbow) Unicorn Leather

      • +2

The kind of watch that would be worn by batman on a night off.

        • +1

Do you mean this one? At $35.83 it is far better value than $65 seen elsewhere.

        • +2

Yes the Epcot Style, but you can buy them from around AU$5.60 from AliExpress

    DΓ©jΓ  vu? Time travel?
I remember seeing same deal an hour ago posted by you.. 😜 History has been changed.. Mine & other comments has been overwritten in new timeline..
These time travelling watches are really good..πŸ€“

No. 09 CHRONOS 40mm White & Tan's design starts with a simple circle and establishes its clarity through refined lines and composition. Its tan band is a master stroke in color that accentuates the simple but highly elegant character of the watch.

Great Job PJC. Very much appreciated. Thinking of buying few and give it to friends. Which one's you recommend? budget upto 25 AUD each. Thanks in advaance

    • +2

At these prices they are all worth considering. Nos. 01, 02 and 03 are so inexpensive it is challenging finding just the strap for that price. Far better than paying $52 as seen elsewhere.

      • Thanks. Before I was going to buy all 01, 02 and 03 gone.

  • -1

why list random crap from AliExpress??

    where is the bargain???

    • +2

Why list stuff from Zapals, why list stuff from GearBest?
Why list stuff from BangGood, rosegal, dresslilly, geekbuying?

      • +5

Savas - Spam, Tim Tams & Twisties are reduced every 2nd week, why do you keep posting it?

    • +6

Where is the bargain in listing weekly deals from Coles and Woolies?

      • You are all bargains!

    Hey PJC,

Love your deals. Last time you found a nice Tissot Visodate for my dads Bday (he loved it!!!).

Any chance you know where I could find a Seiko SARB065 (the Cocktail time) for under $AUD 450 for my bros Bday?? Everywhere I look its over $550 and while I have saved up thats beyond my savings :(

    Any help is much appreciated!

    • +2

The original cocktail (SARB065) has continued to increase in price since it was discontinued last year.
The Presage replacement (SARY075) is at Seiya for approx. $450AUD shipped. Or ebay for a bit less.
Your bro is a lucky guy.

      • He is graduating. This is his bday present for the next 5 years (or more) in advance :)

    • No, I can't find a lower price, and as an OzBargainer you won't get a sense of achievement from paying too much. There are more watches than wrists out there, so it's time to consider a different and possibly better watch for your brother. Consider No. 55 on 101 TISSOT Watches

      • +1

No worries. Many thanks for looking!

  • +3

    Minimalist quality for sure…

    • I knew you'd be pleased.

  • Any cheap smart watches? Or wooden watches?

    • Oh yes, there is a superabundance of each at AliExpress, but not in this list.

  • You have the perfect balance for a The Greens "District Manager", or at least some interesting dinner converse.

    • +1

Thank you. I must be doing something right.

  • +2

Same CHRONOS look, but cheaper KINGNUOS. Hahaha, Looks like you can the same look from different brands. :)

    does Meghan sparkle wear these?

    • Only when she is naked, so that she may time the Duke of Sussex. She still speaks highly of you.

  • +1

Do the batteries last in these watches or will I need to order two and leave it off for three months time?

    • I have no more facts than are seen on the product page. When it becomes necessary, replace with good quality batteries and your battery life should match watches costing 10 times the price of these. I recall saving money by buying batteries made in Japan from an eBay vendor in Scotland!

  • -5

Much better value over here than this AliExpress rubbish.

  • +3

As AngryChicken would say about No. 12, "decorative subdials are against God and Man". A discerning aesthete with powers of deduction and prodigious capacity for analysis may deduce all these watches are currently available for literally multiples of these prices at a store which is permanently banned.

  • Good heavens. Like collateral damage, some relevant product information is unpublished due to a Member's trolling. That is indeed unfortunate, but rest assured I am pleased to assist inquiries regarding these wristworn timepieces which all qualify as bargains since they are currently much more expensive elsewhere. Even though I could not find their manufacturers' $ nameitnot.

  • +1

Cheers OP. Used the $7 off code from eBay that was expiring to get this.

    12 – β™‚ NORTH White(ebay.com.au) $10.77 πŸ“¦

    • You got that for about $3.58? I'm impressed! My original version of this deal showed an online shop previously wanted $65!

      • +1

Yeah i paid am extra €2 roughly. And I got notification item was on its way couple hrs later. Quite impressed with their efficiency. Was Sunday night over at China. Just not sure how long postage will take. The window was up until 24th July for arrival.

        • Well done.

  • +1

I purchased the Chronos Black and White (#8) and it arrived yesterday - great overall (for the money) and thanks PJC for your efforts with this post!

    • Good move. At these prices you can't go wrong and that specific watch is currently $46 at an online store which OzBargain permanently banned for triple sockpuppeting.
