Can I Get a Tax Invoice from an eBay Store That Is Based outside of Australia but Listed as Local?

Hi all,

I am looking to buy DJI Mavic Air drone and need to get a tax invoice for the TRS.

A few sellers come up when I select the "Australia Only" option for the item location. But on their feedback page it says they are based overseas (for example acelectronic13 and china-town-au).

Will these stores be able to provide me with a tax invoice?
I have messaged them and am waiting for their response but I need an urgent advice as I really want to buy during tomorrow's ebay sale.

  If you don't pay gst, you don't get a any trs. Being an overseas store, you are not likely to pay any gst(for now as least)

    Even if they are incorporated in Australia, if they sell under $75k, they don’t have to register for GST, so no GST refund.

    You can have an ABN but still not be registered for GST

  purchase the item on or after july 1 2018 and you may get a tax invoice.

  just message them, whether they will provide tax invoice that states GST and ABN or not; if not, then, unfortunately not.
