  Members must maintain eligible hospital and extras cover continuously for 60 days from the cover start date to be eligible to receive 1 month free

  I have taken the same offer in March this year and bonus 1 month free is added to my next year policy, i.e., 2nd year I will pay for 11 months.

    You can always switch to Medibank. They often have bonus points for new members.

    Abit of luck actually - I've been looking at switching from my current health insurer to ahm and remembered seeing that Medibank was a flybuys partner. As ahm is owned by Medibank I wanted to check if there was any ahm specific offers so I went through to the flybuys website and looked up reward partners, and saw ahm listed there - clicked through and the rest is history :-)

  Just a heads up, even though it says it ends in June, this is pretty much a permanent deal.

  I have seen this advertised many times when i have been looking at switching, just google AHM FlyBuys whenever you are ready to switch and it should still be available. Sometimes the bonus points go up or down a little, but the offer is still there.

  Also, MediBank have his offer as well pretty much permanently as well https://www.flybuys.com.au/collect#/partners/medibank (again points can go up or down, and if you are a Flybuys member sometimes you get better targetted offers as well).

  No deal will ever be as good as those 30,000 bonus Qantas points for $7 insurance a year or so ago.

  Please read your policy coverage instead waiting to find out when you actually need it.

  Personally wouldn't get lured into it by a promotion.

  1. NIB & Bupa are the worst ones in industry in terms of what they cover on hospital policies.

  2. A tax payer above threshold only needs to take out an eligible cover (instead of hospital + extras) to not get hit with medicare surcharge.

  We have found HCF to be the better ones out of the bunch non-industry funds.
