Yep, nice gesture for the flood people.

Hope no-one tries to scab one if they don't need it.
    That would be pathetic.

    • +1

      I concur that notion

    • +5

It's OzBargain you know.. Half the people on this site squabble to get free stuff.

i bet you a few people will. even i considered it for a second but thought nah, id feel too guilty. doubt they would send it to anyone in wa, sa or nsw anyway.

    • +2

Even that was too long to consider taking advantage of this

why not nsw? the top part of nsw is affected too…

I was cut off from the city centre for couple of days in Bundy (with very limited access to basic needs) but wasnt directly affected. I shouldn't take this offer (and will NOT), nor should anyone who wasnt directly affected. We are here for good bargains, not to take advantages. I believe most of you, will agree with me. Thanks for the post and big thanks to Terry White.

  • Great bargain for those in need.
For anyone that doesn't know, ask your doctor for an Authority script [for everyone] (Doctor have to call up some center to get it authorised) to get your prescription stuff for I think 50% off (maybe only 25%? but that's still alot)

    • I thought the provision of authority scripts was for certain categories of medication, as opposed to the actual price of the prescribed medicine which is dependent upon individual pharmacies…

Im in Qld near Goodna which got flooded bad and I can guarantee you ppl will take advantage of this. I have a friend that was working for a government agency during the flood crisis who said there were many ppl making claim's who were unaffected. Mongrel bogans.

They probably sat in the dark for a couple of days thinking, 'my beer is warm and I have no TV, OMG I'm a flood victim!' I like to believe people are better than this.

There are good people in Goodna. My Uncle lives there. I saw what happened to the Goodna shops. http://www.users.on.net/~maf101/Goodna.htm

The real flood victims need every bit of help they can get. If people can't afford to donate the least they can do is let the flood victims have the donations intended for them.

      • Lol. But i reckon they just spotted a bit of a puddle around their house and just about jumped with joy that they now have an "excuse", no matter how pathetic, to undeserved privileges.

But dont hate on those people who took a look at this offer and considered it for a moment, but then said no. It is quite hard to resist such an offer.

  • I find it very sad that people would even THINK to ake advantage of Terry Whites generosity. I sincerely hope those filthy cheapos be flooded for real. But i do think that Terry White is taking a big gamble releasing this promotion, but still, i think it is a real generous gift.

wishing a catastrophe on people who may excercise bad judgement on a $20 deal? thats charming…

  • Hmmm…. all they gotta do is a postcode match against the list of affected postcodes published by the ATO in their recent (and rare) act of generosity.

    • I found the ATO pretty helpful last year. It took me about a month to get a tax refund off them (with me applying from the UK) - about a year quicker than the UK tax office could manage!
