My fridge just dead and looking for a replacement, then found out this GG ebay deal, after discount it ends up $718, pretty good price for a 610L fridge. Other similar sized ones would cost over $1200 easily.

  • Only bought one of these on Wednesday for $850 delivered. Dam

If purchased from Good Guys go back and see them. Purchased a tv from them last year only for it to go on sale a week later for $150 less. They refunded me the difference.

      • Pretty sure TGG have a clause in their price refund policy where it excludes the ebay store

        • I did read that on a big poster in store when I was there

        • They do exclude eBay. Doubt it's legal considering they contradict themselves by invoicing both from the same ABN!

        • As long as its clear in the T&Cs they should be fine. Their claim page excludes Ebay for sure https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/30-day-price-guarantee

        • @Hellman109:

Their online claims page isnt even working for me.

I bought an Lg fridge 1 week ago where the normal store price dropped $100 and thats before the 20% off :((

been trying to enter the docket/web order no. bit it keeps rejecting it.

        • @toshin:

if you bought it with a credit card, check its T&Cs.
many of the gold, black and platinum cards have an inbuilt price guarentee and often an extra 12 months warranty….

      • I bought a TV from them once, then the next week it went on sales $50 cheaper. They refused to give me back the difference and told me it only applied to competitor pricing.

  • i just got a new fridge also..no water either but 10 year on compressor

  • Good fridge :) popular on here too

  • Out of stock near me, delivery charge not worth it.

  • Yeh I have this fridge, it is awesome for the price. Lots of space inside and the water container is 4L, easily refillable as well

    • Yep Bought the same earlier this year and I thought I got a bargain at $950 delivered

      • +1

Recently paid $966,delivered and set up by Appliances Online.
Knew the price would drop further at this time of year. Not fussed.
        Very happy customer.
$718 plus delivery is a fantastic deal.

  • Anyone seen a good deal on dishwasher?

    • not yet

  • this looks good, but too big for 2. Any ideas of a good fridge ~500L?

Happy with Samsung upside down with inverter compressor. More efficient than this deal.

      • thanks, bought it!

    • This one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Electrolux-EBE5307SA-R-528L-…

4.5 star energy rating (just over 300 kwh per year), and it has the best design / usable space i've seen in this type of fridge.

    • +4

No its not too big for two, true ozbargainers fill it up with things when on special, icecream, bread, vegies, chicken, our household is 2 and we have a westinghouse same as this and it is always full. Aldi had bread marked down the other day and I only had room for 2 more, dammit!!!

  • Bought this fridge for a similar price last year. Nothing to complain about yet! Good buy.

  • +2

Energy rating not that great though. Can anyone comment on their electric bills? Because no point saving upfront if your savings get chewed up in electricity later.

    • +1

It uses approximately 600 kWHrs per year (~$200). For the size and price I think that is acceptable.

      • When I bought my first fridge about 10 years ago, the sales person said it would cost about x kWh /10 per year to run. Now it is divide by 3!

  • I thought this was a good deal at $788 good one op

  • We are on our second Hisense fridge after it kept icing up. They sent out guys who literally took a hairdryer to the insides to melt the built up ice. On the third occasion, they just replaced the fridge without asking. I thought that was pretty good. Just checked, it's starting to ice up again. Similar size and we love the big size, but different model so hopefully you will have better luck. But they obviously stand behind the statutory warranty.

    • Pretty bad for modern freezers to ice up like that.

    • Ive had this fridge for a year and a half, no ice

  • Does anyone know if I buy and pay now if I could get it delivered in 6 weeks

      Each store would be different.

We were able to have $4k worth of appliances stored at Harvey Norman for 5 months while we were building

    • When I spoke to someone at the Caringbah store on the weekend, they said they will generally hold goods for a month, but I think it would be store specific.

  • Bought 4 months ago for $850. I love it, at this price even better

    • +8

Why on earth did you buy 4!? 🤔

        Skinnerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

        No more jokes from you

We’ve also got this fridge, it’s been great. The water container is great, easy to fill and inside we’ve found the space available to be more useful than standard top mount freezers. Has a little beep that reminds to shut the door, and the stainless finish so far has been pretty good. The door takes a fair bit of weight without becoming unwieldy or noisy (squeaky or creaky).

Everything has been kept nice and cold so far, the only complaint I’ve got is that the light inside sometimes doesn’t come on when the door opens but it’s related to the button which if it becomes a permanent thing will contact warranty.

It’s not overly noisy, just a low hum when it’s on. It’s very weighty though so would def recommend both delivery and ensuring that the path is clear and it’s installed for you as it’s quite unweildy to try and move around.

The water feature is great, the only thing I’d say is that if you’ve got kids to ensure that they understand (if they’re operating it themselves) to make sure that the switch is set to open as I have a feeling that pressing too vigorously on the tap, which releases the water, could potentially snap.

  • I looked at this one in store today. It'd be ideal if you need a lot of freezer space. We rely more on fridge space, so we're looking at other layouts that give you more vege crisper and fridge volume and a bit less freezer.

Good luck on Hisense lasting you though. Have a TV that's been in 3 times under warranty same problem. Chinese Govt underwrites them so they don't care but they have a long way to go to be a quality brand. And damned inconvenient.

    • Their TV warranty is 3 years in house.
That means replacement,if they cannot fix the problem in your house.
Two of their TVs had HDMI problems.; JB HiFi came out and took them back.
Third one is a keeper :)

Good Guys a.k.a Shifty Guys sold us the SMEG CS9GMXA oven (1/6/18) was a bargain at 3080.00 (retail 3299.00) less than 2 weeks its on their site for 2713.00. People don't rush on the first discount you see like we did. we lost 367.00 dollars from GG. when I spoke to the prospect store NSW they brushed us off. not even with a small fraction coupon or anything. I am devastated. Never set foot in their store again.

  • Bought one of these from a previous deal. Pretty happy with it so far. Not a fan of the ice tray though.

  • I want it badly but I can only fit 90cm below :(

    • Put something else in that space and leave the fridge out

  • (profanity) I need a new fridge but this honking great bastard is too big for my fridge nook. :(

  • I have this fridge and can definitely recommend.

  • My last LG fridge lasted 12 years.

    This doesn't look promising

Will The Good Guys delivery people take my old fridge away? Last time these dodgy indians tried to charge me to take my old washing machine away even though I paid for the premium service.

  • Good fridge.

However, the screws and provided tool for attaching the bottom plastic cover to the fridge were … problematic.
