    Good price. Unfortunately plumbing required.
Looks like all the GG Samsung big fridges need plumbing. I want one that does ice but has a manual water refill.

    • +2

      You need Mitsubishi fridge

      • only HN and bing lee stock them :(

    • +6

if you have a filter on your tap water plumbing is really easy.Just cut the filter hose, connect the "T " connector(quick connect) and connect the fridge hose to it.
I know nothing about plumbing, and I connected my Sodastream French door Fridge in less than 5 minutes about 3 years ago. Manual refill is a pain, just think of how many glasses of water(+ice) your family consumes daily during summer

    • there isnt a non plumbed in that does ice tho?

I have this fridge. It's great! AMA

    • Is your fridge still in warranty? Has it broken down yet?

      • +1

Why? Have you run out of things to fix?

      • +2

Isn’t the joke “is your fridge running”?

      • The timing of this deal is funny, the "ice maker" just broke last week and was causing the fridge to make noises and be colder than it should. We have had it for just under 2 years, and they fixed it the day after we notified them.

      What is your star sign?

    • What do you put in the tiny, narrow shelf under the ice dispenser?

      • Jam jars, etc fit nicely.

      • you put in deli type meats or fruits/vegs

      • +1

        eggs and jars.

    • Yup, I have had one like this for a couple of years and am happy with it.

My only issue is the roller slider for the freezer draw gets iced up and needs a bit of force every so often to get it rolling out to it's full extent.

This product is not recommended. I had the same fridge and replaced with a newer model. Some issues with the freezer were not repairable and Samsung credited the full money back as their technician detected an internal gas leakage. Other issues are fridge was a bit noisy and ice maker not very efficient. The replacement fridge SRF717CDBLS is way better than this model. Samsung offered a full refund and got the money credited to my bank account.

Great deal but every Samsung fridge I have ever had has been faulty just out of warranty. Would never touch another appliance from them again. Great phones, they should just stick to what they do best.

    • +2

Agreed. Our Samsung fridge is giving us headaches, outside of warranty too.

      • +1

        Statutory warranty?

      • How far out of warranty? We had this model and it packed up a couple of months outside of warranty. Samsung agreed that 2 years and a couple of months was not 'reasonable' for a $2K fridge to die. It took a few months and a number of failed repair attempts, but they eventually fully refunded the cost of the fridge. It probably helped that it wasn't far out of warranty, but it might still be worth your contacting them.

  • Ordered one, as we were looking for a new fridge. Cool timing!

    • +1

Get extended warranty and check your ice maker regularly.

      • +1

        Why is that?

  • +1

One should seriously consider the efficiency rating when buying a fridge.. especially in the current climate of exorbitant electricity bills. French door fridges are inherently inefficient because of the extra seam down the middle. Side by side fridges are inefficient because of the elongated cavity.. creating a greater temperature differential to surface area ratio.

  • +2

    2.5 star. Are you serious?

  • +2

I would go for a 4 star Top or Bottom Mount. Samsung SR624LSTC 628L @ $952 is profoundly cheaper and it'll save you $200 per annum over a French door style fridge. In 5 years the fridge pays for itself.

    • +3

Same to me mate. I never choose low star energy fridges. I dont mind what type they are. I only care about the energy rate because we use them 24/7, not like the washing machines which are used couple hours per week

  • +2

I do not recommend the Samsung french door models. I have had two and currently on this one. Plagued with ice caking up in the drainage, ice maker and middle tray. It's super annoying, having to force a defrost or hit the drain ports with a hairdryer

  • +1

Even if your out of warranty, Samsung does cover the parts & labour charges as per the Australian consumer law (only cosmetic damages won't be covered). Just make sure your have the purchase receipt. Scan the receipt, as the print tends to fade off in few months.

    • +1

If you don't have a scanner you can take photos of all yoir important receipts, they're stored on the cloud for ever too!

  • Agree, Samsung absolutely brilliant when a similar model had problems with ice making compartment. Out of warranty by a few years they gave us a full refund. Amazing.

  • I wouldn't recommend this product either. Had it for the past 5 years and it has an ice build up problem over the coils repeatedly. Samsung are great though as they send a technician to repair it each time (3 times, about to contact them again for the 4th) even though I'm out of the warranty period. It's just inconvenient to live with but is great when it's working.

This fridge is a POS. It WILL fail after about 18 months. The ice maker will freeze completely and then fail. That usually happens just as the warranty runs out. If you are lucky it won't take out the whole fridge with it as it happened to me and then the main fridge and freezer stop as well. It has a MAJOR design flaw where the ice maker freezes then leaks into the fridge. I had a full refund from Samsung (at least their warranty process is OK) at just after 2 years. If you buy this then you need to get the extended warranty. This was the second Samsung fridge that died because of the ice maker. Samsung makes pretty fridges which are NOT designed to last. Buyer beware.

Been using it since 2015.Great Fridge -No issues

  • Fridges seem to have a lot of problems. Should be possible to make a reliable fridge in 2018 - also by Samsung!

    • Buy a Mitsubishi Electric

  • Any suggestions for a bottom mount somewhere in the 400 to 460L range? Have been looking at this one as I should be able to get it for about $700 to $740 -

    • Always buy from TGG - always a positive experience. Free delivery would be nice!

  • What is the cheapest soda stream fridge you can buy?

  • Had this fridge since 2016. No issues so far.

  • Here's a bigger fridge that's also cheaper: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Westinghouse-WSE6900SA-690L-S…

  • why do people buy a fridge with less than 3star rating?? Saving quite abit on my 4star LG fridge. Now just got an LG 4star washing machine!

  • Wasn't there a recent report to say Energy Star ratings were misleading? Used only as a marketing tool to increase the sale price?

    • Well I reckon it's not quite as misleading but the return you get for the price you pay up front may not be even worth it….unless you're rich anyways and got money to throw away….

  • Ebay coming up as AU $2,799.00 or $2,239.20 with discount code

  • Thats really annoying! I bought this exact same fridge in Good Guy store yesterday for $2222. Does anyone know if there is anyway to get Good Guy to refund the difference? How can I show the people in store the discounted Ebay price because its now showing on Ebay as $2222 rather than $1777.60. Does anyone have a screen shot?
    Thanks
