    They're mad if they cancel it. I didn't get one, but Coffee Club is really average. Coffee is just acceptable, and food way overpriced. But if your at the shops with someone and and want to sit down for a bit with a coffee, read the paper etc it's not too bad with the card. They would still be making money and getting a whole lot more custom. Oh well, their loss.

    • Which they'll sell to recoup their costs associated with this mess.

      • Deliberate or not we don't know but no harm done to them other than just some emails with computer generated 30% discount codes.

    This isn't being honoured. Just got an email (after it being fully successful this morning) saying the code was invalid and gave me a 30% off code to buy the membership.

    • The Jamaica Blue card is pretty good at one stage there every other visit seemed to be a free coffee :) Just a pity the quality of the coffee isn't more consistent across store some are quite good and others are truly awful

      • That's why I only visit two stores and they are both quite good :) to be honest though, coffee is expensive there as well.
        As sugary as iced coffees are, they give me the kick I need for cheaper. Most of the time I prefer a hot coffee - $3 for a small is okay.

    I received cancellation email, just tried finding out the expiry date by going into renewal screen and it seems the expiry date has been set to 19th June, so still a day available to get BOGOF.

    I received a "Sorry! There was a problem. Invalid code" email, but I could get the membership for 30% off if I want… No thanks.

    Average coffee, but I'm still sore that they were replaced by Starbucks in Eastgardens. Starbucks! I got a free coffee off them when they first opened there, and I'll never do that again. Sorry, I digress…

    Im gutted. Was looking forward to having another loyalty card in the wallet to take up space to use at a place that I probably wouldn't ever use and if I did I would still complain the 2 for 1 coffees taste like shit.

    Stick your code. Dont offer codes that you aren't going to honor.

    You would think as a gesture of goodwill you would honor the 200+ ozbargain customers that joined as that's 200+ new customers that would spend more in store (our family usually spend $50 every fortnight) for the sake of a coffee that probably costs you 40 cents.

    Will never return again, degani and independent cafes will get out business now.

    This membership would be the only way I'd go there. They would have made plenty out of the half price (I mean, standard priced) coffees, plus food purchased.

    They should have just accepted the people that joined and be happy to have new customers.

  • Got a letter in the mail today stating that the code used was an error, and therefore the card/ member number is now invalid.

  • Has this yet been confirmed as a data collection exercise? The only people that this worked for are people who's data is already stored (existing company). Everyone else just got data-mined, get ready for some advertising spam from who even coffee clubs sells the data to.

  • Looks like they're now also cancelling renewals too. My renewal had been active until yesterday, now it no longer exists in the system. I haven't received any emails from them at all.

    • This is turning into a masterclass in how to make a bad situation even worse.
