Just a heads up, all my deliveries have been left at my door by AU post, pretty sure Amazon just tell them to leave at the door no matter which company is used

Yeah, same. Mine are tagged by Amazon to leave in a safe place on the instructions on the parcel.

I've not had a courier yet from them thank goodness. So sick of dealing with couriers, aside from most having no tracking notifications, either refusing to properly secure it (eg leaving my cage unlocked, or outside of it), or carding me and I got to either ride somewhere else to collect, or rearrange a delivery when someone is damn well home all day. Like you need to allocate a whole day for them.

Aus post have been in general excellent, with a few hiccups with one newer driver.

I agree, couriers suck (especially fastway) so really glad I get AP most of the time. I can see why Amazon are one of the biggest companies in the world, their logistics are next level!

@doweyy: Since I’ve been getting Australia Post consistently I’ve started ordering to my parcel locker.
          No issues.
Actually had no complaints at all with AP

I started the trial this week, have had two items delivered on separate days both next business day regional vic.

Just want to check, so if the item is not available on then free shipping won't apply? Is that correct?

Want to buy Amazon Basic Luggage, 3 of them (not the set) cost me the following:

    Order Summary
    Items (3): $169.97
    Shipping & handling: $282.95
    Total before tax: $452.92
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
    Total: $452.92

I wonder whether I can get free shipping if I join Amazon Prime. Anyone can shed some light? Thanks.

It says if over $49 the postage free from Amazon global store on Amazon au, for eligible items. No idea what an eligible item means though.Maybe someone with prime can check for you?

No free shipping if you use the Amazon US site (which won't let you use an AU shipping address from July 1). If that item was on Amazon AU but said shipped and sold by Amazon US, that's when you'd get free prime shipping over $49.

Thank you for your info. So because these luggages are not on Amazon AU I will not be able to use Amazon Prime membership to get it shipped free/cheaper.

I wonder when Amazon Basic products will hit Australia. It is kind of make sense to me. They have manufactured the products anyway and adding a new market place is never a bad idea?

All the Amazon Basics cables and small items are on the AU store, I think they're still taking time to expand and get their products over here.

Started trial this week, ordered 2 (small)items that were supposed to be delivered on Friday the 22nd, nothing has arrived yet

Damn. I ordered 2 items and they came in 2 days, as promised.

Is it full access Amazon Prime just like if we sign up through

AU catalogue - or VPN to get US increased selection, like Netflix (though different URL for US catalouge).

          @gabtug: Thanks.

what else are you guys buying?

    FREE Standard International Delivery

hmm if it applies to selected distrubiters like discotek i might be in

if you Cancel your 30 day trial can you Resume at the Price Point mentioned above ?

No $60 a year is too expensive though.

EBay plus $29 more acceptable. If they price match I don't mind it

So Prime is just about delivery, no TV/Movie streaming or anything else included?

How do I get the $59/year? If I start the free trail it only reverts back to $4.99 until Jan 2019, I just want to pay the $59 for the year(till Oct 2019). My Prime free trail just ended.

Are we able to combine the yearly membership with the Amex promo?

They actually offered an extra month of the free trial when I tried to cancel it.

until now, amazon AU is still poor than Ebay

if you get Fastway as a courier and pay for Prime expect your stuff to:

    a) not arrive
    b) arrive weeks later
