    although I wonder what will happen after July the 1st — do you still get to use the balance of your gift cards on Amazon.com.au?

      nope, balances must be used on amazon.com for USA addreseses

      I don't think so, I've tried to use my Amazon US credit on other Amazon sites without success.

  I had a chat to them yesterday as I have some balance left on Amazon US.

  You will still be able to access Amazon US after July 1, but not ship anything to an AU address.
  I will still be able to use my credit, but only for digital purchases. Or for things that I ship to a US address.

  Used this over the weekend. Made an order on Amazon US to be delivered to my Australian address.

  The bonus credit appeared very soon after I did the gift card recharge (less than a few minutes).
