    • I wish they had done this sooner! Would rather buy from JB instead

Legend, thanks OP, got one today (also got one last week at $119 at HN…booo!) but travelling OS tomorrow so getting the 10% GST back on it to boot!…

The guy at JB's was like…"why yes, we can price match our $179 price down to ahem….$99"

    Winning

Got JB Hifi to match. Now they update the price to $99. Competition is great.

    • Needs to be over 300

    $99 at Officework too

  • Thanks. Picked one up from HN Erina.
The sales guy thought I was after one of the standard HDD ones when I said the price.
He was surprised at the price for the SSD even though I had pointed to the little promotional sign first.
They had 5 left after I got mine.

  • Plenty in stock at Cannington, Western Australia. I don't need it, but it's certainly handy to have. Cheers.

Ahhh, still want a 500Gb one, but I really don't know which should i put into it lol.

My labtop already has a 250gb 960 evo and a 1tb hdd, which both are mostly empty.

  • Shipster worked for it, just in case you're lazy like me

  • Better bargain … got it from Officeworks $99 with FREE delivery.

    • My local OW had a customer-returned one for $65. I wonder what stops someone from buying one, returning it, then waiting for it to be marked down and buying it again.

  • Cheers for the JB HiFi update. Got one from there.

  • Neither of the two cables that came with this SSD fit an iPad. Does anyone what cable I would need to buy for this to use as an extra storage for an iPad (2017)?

    • +1

Unfortunately iPad/iPhone uses a Lightning Port (the Samsung T5 uses a USB-C), therefore the only options to expand you storage on the iPad is to

      • manually transfer to computer then to the SSD,
      • purchase a USB Flash Drive that has a built in Lightning connector (ie. SanDisk iXpand)
      • purchase a wireless portable hard drive or
      • use cloud storage.
      • Thanks.

PS: Can you please elaborate the first point? I was planning to transfer video files from my computer to the SSD, but since you used there's no compatible connector that I can use between the iPad and the SSD, how does the "manually transfer to computer then to the SSD" part work for me to access the files on an iPad? Cheers

        • Should have been more clear, my bad:

          iPad -> Computer -> SSD

Note: this step is to store, cannot read/access from iPad once stored on SSD.

        • @RichardL: I see. I was looking for accessing files on the SSD from an iPad. Looks like that doesn't work. It sucks that I bought this SSD for that purpose. That's what I get for being an Apple n00b. haha

  • Back up to $119 today

  • Has anyone received their orders from Harvey Norman that purchased online?

    • Yes, I got mine the same day I ordered it.

  • Damn. Sorry I missed this.

    • +1

It's ok, I forgive you. Just try harder next time, ok?

    • Darrrniiittt!

      I need one of these…
