Not sure what you're talking about, the Exynos 1380 gets stomped on by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 in the Lenovo. Warranty however…
I have the Xiaoxin pad with 6GB RAM and OLED screen. I absolutely love the screen, but the OS no longer gets OTA updates (I had installed the global ROM, but Lenovo stops this from updating on Chinese hardware). The original Chinese OS may get updates, but I don't find it very usable at all.
I'm still using it, but without security updates I'll have to get more careful.I updated mine to the latest Android 14 global rom by flashing manually. Also had to replace the bootloader with the one from Android 13 to bypass the blocking you mentioned.
My 2022 died out of nowhere. Cant be charged nothing.

Have you tried flashing it, in case it's a software issue? Flashing happens in a power off state.
@Jklaro: Is that using SP Flash Tool? I've often had to disconnect and reconnect the table to kickstart the process.
@sntc: Sorry, I don't follow. Do you mean to say my device was off without me realising it? Because that's not the case. The device must be explicitly shut down to be able to use this tool to flash.
@Make it so: No it means, after shutdown, the sp flush tool will wake up the device for access just enough to do its job. Usually it's done in the download mode of the phone for which you will need to shutdown at first. That's how the flashing works. It needs access to the device in its early boot stage where system OS has not booted yet and can accept the firmware changes with our without exploit. All digital electronics will need power to read/write. Shutting it down is just a part of the whole process.

That's the reason why I didn't go for them. While the specs look impressive, they'll stop supporting the device after some time unlike other popular brands.
Look into flashing a GSI Rom. My old S6 OLED tablet is running current LineageOS like a dream.
Any links to which GSI rom you used to flash ? I have a Note 10.1 (2014) that works fine but slow loading and charging.

Your mistake was flashing Global ROM.
I have the stock ROM and I am updated to Android 15 with security update of April 5, 2025.
The Chinese ROM works without any issues. Just select English as language and you're sorted. All pre-installed apps can be uninstalledI did install ZUI for a while after the global rom stopped updating. I still had heaps of Chinese content all over it. I also had difficulties getting Google services to work properly, though that may be because I got the wrong ROM. A friend of mine has a different Xiaoxin tablet, running ZUI, and he has the same issue that a lot of stuff is still in Chinese.

Why not replace the screen of the iPad, and then put a tempered glass screen protector and good case on it instead? Might work out cheaper.
It's an old iPad. From older kids. Don't think doing updates anymore. Was fine to watch some YouTube kids on and basic games. Have to upgrade. Just not sure with what.

I have access to a bunch of tablets. My personal devices are the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and iPad 6th gen. My mum has a Tab A8 and the iPad still feels way more responsive than the A8 despite the fact that it's 3-4 years older.
iPads just seem to have far better longevity than Android counterparts from my experience and it might be more cost effective to just replace the broken display than get a brand new tablet.
Agree, iPads last for ages. My 2 iPads that I bought many years ago (1 around 2013 and other around 2017) are both still working fine. I thought the battery on the one from 2013 will start to fail, but it still doesn't seems to be giving up.
Do not compare iPad with A series, A series is entry model and sucks, it is lag out of box.
Only buy samsung S Series, no matter phone or tablet.I might be remembering incorrectly because it was so many years ago now but I think I paid $450 for my 6th gen iPad and when my mum bought her A8 it was $399. Things might be different now with the base iPad likely being more expensive but back then they were of comparable price.

That's the real deal, and much better than this tab s9 FE deal.
It's very old. Leaning towards a new iPad. They last a long time. Just get a good case for it and screen protector.

I just bought a refurbished Ipad Air 5th Generation with an M1 and 8gb ram from Green Gadgets on ebay for $490 delivered.
It's extremely powerful and should last me a long time, but they have plenty of other cheaper options too.
I chose 'very good condition' - it had a few minor scuffs, there are also listings for excellent condition.
There's a 22% off ebay plus deal that I used (signed up for one month for $5).

Whilst this is a good tablet, I recently purchased the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.7in 8gb, 256gb, 144hz tablet from AliExpress for $365 inc tax! This is an absolutely brilliant tablet which I am using mainly as a multimedia device. The sound quality from the four JBL speakers is astonishing especially with FLAC quality MP3s.
Watching 4K movies and 2160p music videos or remastered music videos on YouTube is incredible. For $16 the 4K video downloader software is extremely easy and fast to use on multiple website platforms. There is no tablet that comes close to this quality for entertainment for the price. But everyone has their own priorities!
