  Genuine leather is ok for light use, but don't expect it to last many years. Better than the split leather you'll normally get for this price though.

      full grain leather.
      genuine leather is almost the worst type of leather., only bonded leather (leather scraps glued together) is worst, but they don't usually make belts out of it - only bible covers etc.
