5% off Sitewide (Min Spend $30) @ eBay

Frustrated with using up all my PULL5 codes (which expires in 7 days anyways Edit: The deal listing on OzB is set to expire but the terms don't have an end date.) I searched synonyms of pull and typed them in at the end of the T&C's pages of previous deals, adding a 5 to the end. After I ran out of those I started to go through all words starting with P until I came across post, added a 5 to the end and here we are.

Doesn't seem to have an expiry so could be the upcoming code or could be old. Who knows but it's great for those who have used up their existing coupons.

The offer entitles you to 5% off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $30 or more in one transaction during the Offer Period, for up to three transactions and up to a maximum discount of $300 per transaction.

To redeem this offer during the Offer Period, enter the redemption code POST5 into the redemption code box during the checkout process. You must be an eBay.com.au registered member.

Purchases of items listed in the following categories are excluded from this offer: Real Estate (10,542), Coins (11116), Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Tickets, Travel (11,730), Other Lots More Items (88433) and Gift Cards (184,609).

It says here PULL5 expires 31/12/2018.

    • for the effort of trying to find a discount code starting with the alphabet P.

I guess someone should start from A

    • +1

P is not an alphabet. It is one of the 26 letters of the English alphabet :)

    Whow !
I’d heard of brute force hacking before, but this takes it to another level.
    Brute force discounts !
Well done OzB, and well played OP

    • +8

To be precise OP was using a dictionary attack.

    • Next we'll see the usual suspects brute forcing their price jacks to get around these brute forced discounts.
That will soon be followed by brute forcing of comments on OzBargain about the price jacking and people who can't wait for Amazon to come to Australia.

Amazing Work OP, dedication for 2am on a Saturday Morning!

I've also ran out of accounts to use PULL5 on.

FYI Just tried some other logical codes such as POOP5, PISS5, PLEB5 & PINT5, sadly no hits.

  • +1

Just a heads up 4892, PULL5 doesn't have an end date on that listing but the popup on eBay says 30/6/18, great finds for these!

If you knew how to use computers you'd be unstoppable

  • Nice. Upvoted for the effort!

  • I wouldn't be surprised if there was a 15% off before the end of the financial year, should try similar 15% off codes.

  • EBay knows… So they gave usa 20% every week and give us 5% because we happy with 5

    • +1

So they gave usa 20% every week

They have only had 2 20% off sitewide sales this year. Also, their max discounts are only $100 USD (~$160AUD), whereas our 18% off was $500, way better.

      • well the $15 off $75+ is also 20% just that they limit it

        • Unless you spend exactly $75.00 which is hardly ever, then it's <20%

        • @doweyy:

yes yes you have good math. my point being they always have more than 5% discount. I am still waiting for that 18% to come back if it even comes back now that ebay is pushing its ebay plus.

    • +1

      Yep. Another Australia tax…

    • +2

That's fine, I've purchased some lube with this deal, so I'm ready for the Tax office.

Never would have thought of "iterate words which start with the letter 'P'"
Perhaps we could automate checking this with a dictionary file?
    Amazing work OP!

  • +1

"We ran into a problem. Please try again later."

    Does not work.

  • People were doing dictionary 'attacks' on the dominos pizza website and finding deals.

How can this one ready be expired

  • PENNY5 is the current
