Even if it's a deal.. Why? OLED isn't much more.. in fact, 55" LG Oled is cheaper. Different brands.. but the LG would be superior picture quality. This is a TV, that is it's primary purpose.

I have a Sony 4K LED tv from last year, and I just purchased the Sony A8F last week. Yes, the Oled panels are awesome for their deep blacks, but the brightness levels are nowhere near the standard LED Tv's.

LG B7 was on sale for like $1600 around christmas which was a steal, but I have a feel that a lot of people still prefer the LED tv's.

Imma give OLED a few generations before I consider it. I had a Galaxy S3 and I currently have an S8+, S3 was burnt in as hell and the 8+ is certainly yellowing out and has burn in icons from my fave app (Reddit if you care). I'd screen shot it, but….

      OLED + kids = burn-in

    • Probably burn-in fears and the video processing is a touch better on the Sony's. The 2017 LG OLEDS had average upscaling from SD sources. 2018's are supposedly better but they are too expensive right now. Also some people prefer Android. As already mentioned the LEDs are brighter too depending on the model which is good for regular viewing but even better for HDR.

OLED >> LED/QLED not necessary true

it is not that simple, otherwise all manufacturers would go with OLED
I can afford OLED but would prefer Sammy Q8 or Q9 or SONY flagship LED due to better peak brightness, more life-like colours and non-crushed shadows (this is subjective). Or even 2018 Hisense would do .

    • OLED isn't much more

If you game a lot you will get burn-in with static images.

OLED isn't perfect and has its share of problems.

And a good LED comes close to OLED in picture quality.

  • Damn I wish I could justify a new TV. I’d be all over the 55 9000.

I just purchased the KD65X9000F yesterday at Good guys for $2993 delivered

Damn could if saved $76 :(

    • Ring them, if they are anything like my local (north lakes) they are usually more than accommodating with things like this.

They even 'returned' an order for me at the end of last year then put the sale back through in the new year so I could claim the gov rebate for a 4star washing machine. The machine was at home the whole time, they just did it for me no questions asked.

      • Could you please provide a receipt? I would like to match in my local store
