Just a warning - their warehouse staff seem to be absolute monkeys. Of 5 different orders, 3 had at least one issue with them (wrong item/items missing/etc). Pay with PayPal in order to have return shipping compensated incase you need it.

    • This is UK

      • +2

don't catch you getting your order right

        • look what i'm upvoting, aight

    • +4

Thanks for the warning. I have received 3 orders from and everything has been good.

    • These guys are not the most helpful when it comes to after-sale service. I always use PayPal when buying from SD. And if you get the opportunity to visit one of their stores in UK you will realise how rude/useless their staff is.

    • +4

From another perspective, I've made more than a dozen orders over the last 3-4 years with them, with no delivery issue. The 3 orders this year were collected by the courier 3 days after the order date and delivered in about a week.

      • +3

        Delivery times aren't an issue.

The issue which annoyed me most was more with their support staff. You have to submit a ticket and after a few days you basically get a reply requesting you send the invalid item back to the UK. In my case I had PayPal return shipping compensation so did this, then once they received it back they sent out another package - was the incorrect item, again. Support simply refunded the order despite me explaining I still wished to receive the correct item… I'm not out of pocket, but I wasted a good 2-3 hours trying to resolve the issue only for it to end in a refund rather than receiving the items.

        tl;dr:
Still same advice even if it is just a rare case - use PayPal just incase so you have compensated return shipping.

I ordered Nike shoes dark grey/grey size uk 7 from last deal posted here, I received black/white size uk 6. I emailed them and still waiting for a reply.

I've ordered from them before with no issues, but it's bound to happen, and when it does, it's annoying!

    • .. I had 5 different individual orders over the last 2 months .. I have had NO issue with my any of these orders or deliveries.. all I can say is that I can highly recommend SpotrsDirect

      • +2

        What about Sports Direct though?

    • I must have made 20 orders with them so far. I have not had any issues myself. You must have been very unlucky.

      • +1

        As mentioned I understand it may be rare, but the;
        A. Difficulty to return - they make you send it back to a UK address and don't provide compensation.

        B. Difficulty to deal with support - very unprofessional support and ultimately instead of resolving my issue they simply processed a refund and I ended up without the item I wanted.

The likelihood may be low, but you're risking up to ~$45 (cost to return just pants) and/or a few hours of your time to try and resolve matters when their is an issue. PayPal negates some of the risk (providing return shipping compensation and dispute resolution). Then the low likelihood is obviously worth the risk - you won't be out of pocket, just a potential waste of time in the unlikely event of a stuff up.

Note in particular it seems items where there's a two part set they muck up most, see comments here

        • I do not question your experience. At least you got a refund. Definitely use Paypal wherever I can.
I think it's expectation management - SportsDirect is clearly a clearance centre for stock people couldn't sell, so set your expectations accordingly and you won't be disappointed :)

Pierre Cardin for this price, must be some chinese born Pierre

    • LOL

    • +5

I think Pierre Cardin is now a Homebrand of Sports Direct. The quality of PC is $hit compared to pre-sports-direct-era.

      • so this brand is different from https://pierrecardin.com ???

        • I don't think it is hard to guess their quality by looking at their website. There is nothing about their product on their website. And it is awful.

        • +3

The Cardin brand is licensed to everyone and their dog. So the brand means very little. PS, this jacket is looks okay if you're 70.

    • +10

      Pierre Canton??

    • +1

      Jules-Pierre Mao??

      60% cotton, 40% protomolecule

      • Lol :) .Season finale tomorrow.

  • +7

So will it Keep Away Fire? Or should I stay away from fires??

    • +9

These are perfect for keeping fire away. At 40% Polyester, it will melt deep into your flesh long before the fire can burn you.

    • .. on a positive note .. why not use as a fire starter???

  • +5

Nah it’s probably original. Just a horrible ugly design that they must be struggling to sell off

    • original knockoff, you mean? like "its real" (real fake)

      • 'genuine imitation' not just a cheap imitation

  • I bought it, it looks good for $18

    • +3

looks good in photo, but bad in reality. mark my work i bet you will come back here to post in 2 weeks time that the jacket is not good at all and you regret it. the sewing, zipper, etc are guarantee to be bad.

      • +2

Haha, I've bought bad quality stuff from BooHoo and other websites too.
It's only 18 bucks, like 2 beers. It could be ok!

  • Got one of each colour, here's hoping I look good in burgundy - never tried.

    • +4

You gunna take it to France - nice of you. I'm gunna take mine to Bonnie Doon.

  • +2

FYI, Pierre Cardin quality is absolute garbage from personal experience with their t-shirts which have subsequently doubled up now as wash rags for the car.

    • Same experience here. I bought a lot of PC formal shirts and all of them were poor quality.

      • I've never been a fan of PC.

      • Same here @batrarobin - I think I bought 3 of their shirts in one order… opened one, tried it on, realised the quality and fit of it and binned all of them.

About as comfortable as wearing a giant jay cloth.

    • Should be good quality if you can use it for car, :)

  • Why are they calling this a bomber jacket? The only thing I see in common with a bomber jacket is the slight wrinkling of the fabric around the stitching on the front panels. (original bomber jackets were sewn on machines that couldn't be perfectly optimised to counter the slipperiness/thickness of the new synthetic materials)
But the actual style and appearance has nothing similar.

Bought pierre cardin from sports direct before, very disappointing. ultra low quality for this brand.

    • @elyork and @c0balt, see apk comments.

      • Hahaha no risk, no reward lol

      • +1

Dude it's a $16 dollar jacket, you don't need to give warning lol!

        • Haha
These jackets probably cost $5 to make, I bought one off BooHoo for around the same price and it was garbage.

I don't have high expectations like most on here :)

  • Just look at it! What's most alarming is that it was priced at $125 to begin with.

    Reject shop quality no doubt.

  • Only $18 for "ultimate protection"!

    • +2

You'll never get laid after wearing this. Can't get more protected than that!

  • Lost an order recently and after multiple follow-ups and one and a half months later, they agreed to refund the amount. I have ordered 3-4 times from them before and never had any issue.

  • thanks op. bought 3 ! was looking for something similar save my time now . cheers

  • I didnt check out the back view. I thought it was similar to the front. Its almost like a zip up wool-in jumper. Not exactly what I was looking for when I bought it.

    • Lol that back view.

      What an incredible POS.

      I'm sorry for your loss.

  • +2

Ordered a size small jacket a few minutes after this post came out and I just got an email saying they are out of stock.

  • Got an email advising that my order (Navy) is out of stock.

  • +1

Just a heads up - They use Toll who wont deliver to PO Boxes. Having difficulty entering work address - their address fields accepts limited characters and cuts the address. If I didnt double check, it would probably not arrive.

    • Is this new? I've never had an issue with delivery to PO Boxes before but a recent order says undeliverable.

I didn't order this jacket. A PC fleece top I previously purchased from SD completely fell appart after one gentle wash.

I've had heaps of issues with SD with wrong and faulty items which were not easily resolved like other posters have mentioned.

Their stuff is cheap though so I take the risk but it's a real hassle when it goes wrong.

      • +1

Previous order, Toll called to ask for alternate address.

        • Thanks

  • +1

Like others have mentioned, I also got an email that my orders have been cancelled

Oh well.. I scored some very decent jackets at Ray's today anyway.

Did anyone get a shipping notification?

  • +1

Their system is terrible - they cannot work out if they have stock when you place an order. Instead they send out the pathetic message that the "order is subject to stock availability and does not constitute a binding contract. This email does not constitute or represent confirmation of the purchase."

Only after you have paid do they send you an email saying they are out of stock.

And its going to take them up to 5 days to refund you!!

    • We should all request daily compounding interest repayments on our refunds!

  • Bought one of Pierre Cardin from Sports Direct two weeks ago, wools are wearing off in 5 days, and it's all messy. Money went in the drain.

    • What did you buy?

  • I got the package today, I totally forgot I had bought it.

Quality actually looks pretty good! I was thinking it would be really thin and light, but it's not. I'm happy to take photos but I'm actually pretty impressed for $20.
Well, not impressed but Im content.

Has it arrived for anyone else?

    • No arrival here in Perth. Tracking number doesn't appear to work

      • Mine arrived Monday in Perth. Its actually decent and does keep you warm.

  • Just arrived. Great product. One of my better Oz'Bs

    • Who did they ship with and does your tracking number work?

Still havent got mine and their Wndirect tracking number doesnt work :|

      • Try tracking your parcel through Toll. It says they are closing this website 25/7 but it's still working for now.

        https://online.toll.com.au/trackandtrace/

        • Nah, i contacted them, didnt hear anything, then suddenly status changed to "returned to sender".

Literally never had a package undeliverable before.

The wndirect tracking numbers my mates got on their orders worked, so i suspect they just never shipped mine and then just cancelled the order. Bummer, the 20% off code isnt valid any more, plus the app promo also ended.
