  • Anything on the V6 Absolute? The soft roller door hard floors is great

    • +1

One recently posted on eBay for $350.10 for the absolute

      V6 Absolute $350.10

When I first saw this, it showed as "132 sold". As of Now "951 sold"

    • Wish I could buy the soft roller.

    • Is that all the absolute has over the regular?

Absolute and Animal have the DirectDrive head. Much better than the motohead on this CordFree model.

  • There's cashback too?!?

  • what cashback ?
    says $299 in the pic

    • No cashback, it's just $299 on the ticket.

If anyone wants to know what are the differences between each sub-model: https://www.bestcordlessvacuumguide.com/dyson-v6-comparison/

  • Why would anyone even consider this? The suction on this thing is not great. Just add a little bit more and get the v8 which is much better if v10 is out of your budget.

    • I have the cordfree for the last 1.5 years. My home is a 3br, 2bath house with carpets in bedrooms and tiles throughout the rest. The cordfree has been awesome and is more than enough. We never use the included changeable heads and, after reading up on them, I don't see how they add value.

Genuine question: what does the V8 have that the cordfree doesn't? More power? Battery?

Is it worth the extra $200?

      • Hi blergmonkeys,

I have the old DC25, that thing last me three years, now the head is broken, I tried to fix myself, it seemed to me that the motor is broken, Dyson charges the motorhead for $100 which I would not pay for, I am worried about the battery life of the Dyson cordless vacuum since I had poor experience with them, I am currently using $89 Kmart vacuum, it is decent, but also in the same time I am looking for a cordless vacuum just for mid week cleanups. I prob wait for the V10 go on specials again hehe

      • V8 has a longer battery life ~40mins vs the v6’s 20min. That the only major difference i could find when looking into what to get.

    • I am guessing that the suction is enough for hard floors?

      • +1

plenty enough. the benefit is the motorised head — which sweeps and agitates the floor and carpet.

  • It's on the Dyson site currently for 319

  • +1

would go for the Absolute, despite extra $50

  • I find this is good for things like hair and small dust particles but it really struggles with any larger sized stuff like cereal crumbs for example.

  • have the V6 animal and just waiting for the v10! what the v7 and up ranges have is the improved bin emptying which the v6 doesn't have…as well as the increased power

  • Got one. Thanks OP. Not too bad for a portable!
