They just dropped their price on this 1080ti. Seems like an incredible deal. Went for the colorful 1080 deal, kinda regretted it now :( but good news for those who had a firmer hand.

Deal exceed the $100 usd cap so total comes down to $873.88 Aud

  • I'm getting AU $873.88, anyone else?

    • Probably just the delivery varying?

    • Ahh I think we passed the 100 usd cap on this deal. I'll update the post

LOL! Time i lost reading this and will never get back

  • Just tested this (didn't purchase but very close as I am waiting for the "1180") and it works fine as long as you follow the above instructions.

  • i am still getting error after changing the address as well. Not sure why?

    • +1

I did the first couple of times but worked the third time. May take a little while for the address change to take effect in the backend.

  • +2

All I did was change my country, not even the address in the account section (not shipping address) and it worked for me. I think I logged out and back in again as well.

    • Worked for me too. Got an error a few times about Paypal account verification, but my order eventually processed and all is well.

  • It's a perfect day indeed

  • I am amazed at how steady the price if these cards have been. I checked my records and almost exactly a year ago during the eBay sales I bought the Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 TI turbo.
Paid: AU $1,114.00 with PayPal (inc $15 shipping) less discount to 894.20.
The card has been rock solid for me and I recommend it to anyone.

    • how is the 4k performance?

      • To be honest I really can’t tell the difference. I pump it out onto my LG 34” uktrawide and I can play games like Wildlands and Seige on full ultra with no complaints.

        • what you mean tell the difference?

          between 1080p and 4k?

        • @pinkybrain: I just really want a game that looks good and doesn’t tear or jerk around when I’m playing games. So far the 1080TI has been great. As for the difference between 1080p vs 4K. I have no clues. Maybe it is because I don’t have a 4K monitor.

        • @danielh:

          so your monitor is 2k?

        • @pinkybrain:

a quick google of his lg 34" ultra wide will reveal a 3440 X 1440 Resolution

        • @grrrr:
          yes, i google it

and that resolution you put is what I got

          that looks like 2K?

        • @pinkybrain: The monitor I have is the LG 34-UC97 which I got for about $1300 back in late 2014. If that model is 4k then I have 4k.

        • +1

          @danielh:

          Look it is QHD

          https://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-34UC97

          $1300 is alot of money

        • @pinkybrain: So QHD = 4k monitor. Cool, did not know that.

As for performance of the 1080TI, I have had no issues with it, no tearing at ultra high gaming resolution (or equiv). Framerates seem to be ok and no real graphics card compatibility issues you can get sometimes.

Getting a 365 day tax depreciation on it as well is another plus.

        • +2

          @danielh:

          no QHD is not 4k

          google it

I got my 1080 Ti Founders Edition for $863 12 months ago. It's paid itself off by being used mainly for mining.

      • Hopefully you also claimed it for tax purposes as well.

    Missed by 3min :(

Just think of the $874 you've saved yourself!

  • While i'm here, what's the most powerful graphic card i can get for cad cam stuff?

    • +2

A quadro perhaps? Is your budget high?

      • yes, just need the fastest
edit: thanks i think quadro would be more suitable actually
