  • Going to be targeted.

  • yes. Couldn't see anywhere to mark this as targeted in the form - mod can you please mark as targeted? Thanks

  • These listings by default should always be listed as targeted.

  • Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.

    Targeted.

eBay ticks me off so much, just about every day I get an email saying "We've allowed buyers to make offers on your listings" and they change my ads to accept offers.

Their greed and arrogance knows no bounds.

It may be their website but the items are mine, they have no right to change them.

    😈

I've never had that. If you relist without using the bulk relist tool (it's a mess, so I don't) they change it to accept offers.

      • If you use the Advanced Listing Tool to make/relist the ad they don't change it, but I don't think that's an option using my Android phone and I'm not switching on my PC just for that.

Regardless, it's not eBay's business what I list them for, pisses me right off.

Yeah, that's rubbish. It gives buyers the idea the price they can get is cheaper when they can't, and it wastes your time. I mean most small sellers on eBay already list at their bottom price.

Recent experience: Buyers who ask all manner of questions, then state the measurements work and they want the item, but then hit you up for the price they set in their minds before they screwed you around. A recent time-waster walked over $3 on an item I spent about 30 minutes liaising with them about, which would have cost them $150 in the shops, and I was selling for $35. Urgh, eBay sometimes makes you hate humanity LOL.

      • It’s worse on gumtree :)
        The low ballers are crazy!

    • +2

Maybe we should all hit up eBay support with lowball offers on fees.

"Will u take 1% and free for subtitle? Pls respond quick so I can list today".

      • Lolz, already done that via chat.

    • I just go and untick the box after ebay does that.

Worked for me - cheers OP

    • How? This deal hasn't started yet.

      • +1

It still shows up saying that you have accepted the offer - it will then be visible come the time stated above

        • +3

You cartels always have a way around everything.

  • +1

    Accepted. Cheers OP!

  • If I make and save my listings now. Then list the saved listings in a few days when the offer is valid. Will this work?

Or do I need to make my listings on the day of the promo?

    Thanks.

    • +2

You can make the drafts whenever you want as long as they're listed and available for sale during the promo period.

    • +1

If you make them now and save, then actually list them once the promo starts, it will work with the offer.

  • can I sell multiple products in in different categories and see still get the no fees ?

    • Yes, as long as each item you sell is listed only in a single category. e.g. You can be selling ten items, each listed in a different category.

  • Nice.. will sell Titan :)

  • Thanks OP, worked for me.

Anyone else get the email just now to get a $15 voucher to agree to receiving Daily Deals emails?

  • right on time. cheers

  • I get these almost every 2 weeks, @$1.
    Got this $0 offer twice.

    Got nothing really to sell?!

  • Thanks, accepted the offer

  • Thanks accepted offer

  • Any limits on how many items you can sell for free?

    • none in terms of number. I suspect there will be limits on category.

  • Yay, got it again!

  • When this say a single category does it mean for example clothing or is it more specific eg men’s shoes? Or can can you lost over multiple categories as long as there is only one per item?

    • It just means you can't put 1 item in 2 categories. You can list however many different items you want that have different categories :)

  • Does this mean item must be listed and purchased within the promotional period? Which in my case only 2 days?

    • +1

      just listed. Purchased anytime.

    • It lasts the length of duration your listing is up but stops count when listing is auto renewed. This includes ‘good til sold listings.’ So the best thing to do is leave it for the longest single period possible. I leave mine for 30 days by which time a new promotion is announced and I relist them under the new promotion.

      • Or list for 3/7/10 days, with a 30 day dummy auction for each item as well. If the item doesn't sell in the first, shorter one, transfer the details into the 30 day one and have another crack at it. eBay's search algorithm seems to give higher preference for items close to finishing, so it's good to have two occasions in the month when the item is potentially more visible.
