Kyle and Jackie's contestants have 48 hours to make as many sandwiches as they can. But only one of them left the kitchen with $10,000 cash!

looking at the live video feed, i think they are asking for charity donations? so this may not technically be a freebie. I'm not in syd so cant be sure.

till friday morning i assume- if its 48 hours.
re the donation bit, people are putting in tickets/vouchers not money into the jar so these may actually be freebies.

I've been done there for my sambo and they are free. You are given a voucher when you arrive, join the queue and you drop it into the box in front of the chef making your sandwich. Must be there way of keeping track of which chef makes the most. The queue when I went wasn't too long and you have a choice of 4 sandwiches on white or brown bread: salad, tuna salad, ham - cheese & salad or chicken-lettuce-mayo.

Just got my sambo! Yes they are free and there was no queue whatsoever at around 2pm today.
It ends 7am tomorrow (4/2/2011) morning.
