Is there any point to buy a cheap camera these days?
Kids, girlfriend, parents… basically anyone who points and shoots a phone but is going on holiday, this camera takes much better pictures than your phone. (probably)
Bought a $150 Canon after cashbacks, deals, etc. (from $350) and it performed extremely well.
Personally I'd buy a $150 camera and get cashbacks, deals, etc. This one on't be that great.
It has better specs than the run of the mill phone camera. Having said that, P&S cameras are squeezed in a difficult spot, inconvenient compared to phones which is with you all the time, and not pro enough for avid photographers.
I'll be giving away my P&S when I get my next phone.
They've held their role as they always have, they're travel cameras. Best tool I had when I tavelled in Europe was my tiny, powerful camera.
I use my prosumer super zoom for holidays. I hope to upgrade to a mirrorless one of these years.
Would it be better than my Pixel 2 XL? Been looking for a cheap point and shoot to take proper pics with.
