Samsung Gear S3 Frontier Smartwatch (Direct Import) $356 Delivered @ GalaxyBuy

60
GET10GB

Long story short, I won a fitness product of a certain value through work. They eventually found this website and ordered the device for me and when I checked on here, realised the price is pretty good so thought I would share it. :)

$347 for the watch
-$10 coupon code
+$19 shipping

Some notes:
- Direct import, so not local stock (Samsung Pay might not work)
- I've never bought from GalaxyBuy before, no idea how they go as a store
- Might be worth waiting for the Samsung Gear S4 which will be released later this year.

Good price - if it's Aust stock. Looks like these guys like Kogan sell both local and grey stuff.

    • It says direct import so not local..

    • Its not local, and Samsung Pay won't work without Local Stock. So you lose features.

      • I don't think that's 100% true… Certainly not as easy to setup as local stock would be, but I did read on Whirlpool someone was able to setup an American device with Samsung Pay here in Australia, simply needed to enter in a postcode from the USA.

My phone is grey import and Samsung pay Def's works

        • @Kossac: Got mine today, device is from the UAE… Samsung Pay works!

  • Was very tempted to grab a Gear S3 during the EOFY sales, but it's rumoured that the Gear S4 will be announced next month. Might grab that, or see how the announcement affects Gear S3 prices. If it's announced, that is.

    • Yep, although hesitant to grab the S4 if it's running wear :-(

Hopefully they will go back to the S2 days and make a thin watch instead of the huge thick ones everyone has been churning out.

Seems you prefer TizenOS to WearOS. Why might I ask?

Firstly my use case is that I use my watch for being a watch, for notifications, for weather, and minor health tracking. Having had two wear watches (Moto 360, TicWatch S), the Gear S2 was the nicest to interact with, display notifications etc. Wear doesn't show much information and requires plenty of scrolling and opening etc. On gear s2 I can see the whole contents of the message on my watch straight away, even pictures etc. Also I personally prefer the style of tizenOS over WearOS, as Tizen acts more like a watch, but Wear OS feels like it makes things too complicated etc. I also felt that even though the TicWatch was newer, it was often slower than my S2 to do basic things.

          Again all my opinion.

Got this for $348 from JB Hi-fi

    • When was that?

  • I paid $399 from JB a couple of days ago , tried hard to get them to go lower , but they wouldn't budge saying that $399 was their cost.

Would rather have the Aus model and JB store receipt when I want to sell it on ebay when I upgrade .

    Great watch BTW.

  • Currently $360 at Optus in store only; not advertised on their website. I just bought one from Optus Perth City store.
