Excellent price on the 55".

Decent price on the 65" as well. Shipping cost sucks though.

I purchased the 65" recently and I have to say, it is a great tv! Great step up from my LED 4K Sony Android tv.

Don't forget Shopback cashback for an other 2.5% off.

You are paying a little bit more than the LG C8 from this deal, but I have seen both in person, and Sony's motion handling blows the LG straight out! again, each to their own!

Similar specs as the 2017 A1E, with no tilting stand, but this model now has Dolby Vision support available!

    Seems like a great price

  • Damn was hoping they didn't jack it.

  • Looking to get this model 65" but $4k+ seems little too much for me. Will have to wait till Christmas i guess.

the previous A1 model got to about $4350 as its lowest price ever before A8F was released! But Sony do have a plan to release the A9F with ultimate processing at some point, maybe you may get lucky if the prices for the A8F go below $4K

  • Don't want to let the cat out of the bag on all of you excited people who think that they've just picked up a bargain but this year's model is unchanged inside. Unlike the LG C8. So the Sony is technically inferior.

I have already stated that in my post. I've seen both the C8 and A8f in person, and yes, the c8 has a newer processor and thin iq technology. But Sony's motion processing still is rock solid Combined with Android TV. Like I mentioned, each to their own.

  • LGs software is way superior to Android TV. It's the best in the business. I have the LG C6 and it's amazing. As per trusted reviews, Android TV is no reason to buy a TV.

Again, each to their own! I've a synology NAS which has up scaling capabilities and android TV allows 3rd party apps and it's more optimised, and combined with Sony's upscaling capabilities, the picture quality insanely good. LG Web os is definitely easier to use, but Google are getting ready to roll out the new version of Android TV. And like I mentioned before, Sony xtreme processor can't be matched by LG. Check rtings and 4kreviews websites for more information on this. Cheers

Yeah….nah. Been there done that. WebOS bites compared to the flexibility of AndroidTV. I'd never go back. But again, each to their own I guess.

Bit like iOS vs Android argument done to death.

Some find iOS easier to use, some don't and enjoy the extra things you can do with Android. Same here.
