Free 12 Month Shipster Subscription from PayPal

7110

Link is available for everyone. Similar to the recent offer from Cotton On and Birdsnest.

Only difference is you have to register your payment details with PayPal, and will start being charged after 12 months. You can choose between $1 per month or $10 per year. You can automatically cancel it though so you don't have to pay after 12 months if you don't want to.

Shipster: Free shipping applies to orders from participating retailers with an order total of $25 and over and shipping costs under $20. Domestic parcels only.

    • Cancel the approval on PayPal I suppose.
Though if they get another approval somehow they might still be able to charge.

  • I signed up during cotton on free deal. And got confirmation email. Is there any point signing up here too?

I did as i'm trying to nail the $1/month offer applying under this deal following the 1 year freebie. Whether it works or not i know not.

    • Subscribe an additional email address

  • I signed up a while ago for the free month or 2, not sure if that expired or not as I can't login on the site because their site sucks.
So I entered the same email and I received this message:
Australian Postal Corporation has cancelled a Payment Agreement with you.

Description:Amount shown will only be charged once your free trial period has ended

Manage your Payment Agreement by logging in to your PayPal account and clicking the Payment Agreement link under your Profile. In your Profile, you can choose and edit your preferred funding source and cancel your Billing Agreement.

    So, did it go through?
A bit weird to say has been cancelled then to give description of the charge after free trial.
This is an email from PayPal also.
Just looked up and my previous free 2 month trial expires August 1.

once you sign up, can you opt-out the paid subscription after 12 months straight away or you can only cancel it at that time (in 12 months)?

EDIT: nvm, can be done here it seems https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay

  • Thanks, it works on Firefox desktop. Waiting for confirmation.

  • Can a few good folks here comment about the Shipster service?

    Have you used it?

Is $20 or less shipping costs reasonable or is that not going to cover much? How/who determines the shipping costs?

    Ta

    • The store determines shipping costs, it's just their usual shipping costs, and then Shipster covers up to $20 which is generally plenty unless buying big/bulky items. Shipster isn't a mail carrier service, it just covers the costs of shipping from the listed websites. So parcels are delivered as normal. Hope that makes sense.
Eg. chemist warehouse delivery is $8.95 for orders under $50. Shipster makes shipping free for orders over $25.

  • Does anyone fancy summarising this for me so I don't have to read loads of marketing surge?

    • +2

Shipster is affiliated with a stack of retailers (Myers, Target, etc. vendors listed on the website).

Being a member of Shipster allows you to access free shipping at a lower minimum. For instance, instead of Myers home delivery kicking in for free at $99, its $25. No need to buy a extra stuff to get the free shipping offered (if it is even offered at all).

At $10, which is the cost of most shipping items when buying in Australia- you get your money back on your first purchase.
At this bargain, you pay nothing! Just send them an email to cancel your subscription (I dont advise just cancelling your direct debit arrangement through Paypal).

Anyway, all affiliated retailers should recognise the email address you used through Shipster and automatically give you the shipping discount so make sure you use the normal email address you would use when buying stuff online.

      Well worth it… sign up.

  • Worked flawlessly for me using Opera on Android. They must have tweeked the site.

Didn't realise till after I'd signed up that I have to use the same email with the store as the registered shipster email. Bit difficult as I already have accounts with some of those stores using an older email. Oh well. A good excuse to try to sort out the mess.

    • You get free shipping at these List of participating retailers when you spend >$25, and shipping costs are <$20.

So, good if you're spending at any of those vendors and want to save on shipping costs.

  • cheers, signed up…now awaiting email confirmation
i had a 1 mth free trial in april which i cancelled….will that affect me successfully signing up to this promo?

Has anyone else not got there confirmation email?

    • Yep.
No proof of it being a thing at all unfortunately.

    • +2

No, but another commenter said that it showed up for them when checking out. I just tested it on Target (I've never had a Shipster trial before today) and it automatically showed up in my Target account!

    • +1

I have not received a confirmation email, but I went to a website included and added items over $25 to cart and went to checkout and it was free with shipster.
Really annoying how we can't login on the shipster site and check.

  • Anyone having issues with linking a card on the "Please link a credit or debit card to complete your purchase" screen?
It does the processing then goes back to enter/link card details (PayPal popup/window).

I linked a card on PayPal today & when I login, it shows as having a linked card, so have idea what the issue is.

The page is still up and accepting registration. Does the deal still work?

    • I tried and it seemed to work (said there was a 12-month trial), but I haven't received a confirmation email or anything.

What happens if my everyday email is different from my Paypal email address, I only use for Paypal? Which should I sign up with?

    • +2

Use the everyday email, i.e. the one associated with the accounts used for making purchases from the participating stores.

      • strangely my shipster account has been registered with my PayPal email address and i'm unable to login to the website as well neither reset my password. Oh well, guess I have to use my paypal email for shipster deliveries

Wonder what will happen if I try to register again with my everyday email and give my paypal address

  • From their website: If you wish to cancel your Shipster membership, please do so with more than 2 business days notice from your next billing date, so we can ensure you aren't then billed. To cancel, Please contact our customer care team for help.

It seems you can't just cancel by clicking on a button. Be warned!

    • …nah. unsubscribed earlier this year and it was one click with instant email notification….thats just there if you have issues with auto cancellation

      • How can we cancel with one click?

        • had a look for you and unfortunately i couldnt access my subscription as i had prior which is where i was able to view the shipster trial membership and cancel…dont know if the website has changed or if its located somewhere else. the only shipster link i could see took me to a sign up page so basically at this point in time buggered if i know…??

    Great deal, thanks for sharing!

  • Seems like a good deal to me even at $1 a month. where do they make the money? I just brought something which costed $19 shipping, who bears this cost? The merchant or shipster?

  • Also wondering how we go about cancelling this. It says we have to contact shipster customer service, is that the only way to do it?

  • Hi, is the link expired? Is it still working for you guys? Can someone confirm?
