They look like standard terms for an Australia Post service

    • +3 votes

So who are they referring to in the above conditions lol? ‘You’ and ‘I’ are two different parties.

  •

I received the email, clicked on the link. Is there something else I need to do to get confirmation?

Already perks member and previous shipster member

    • +1 vote

      Nup, that's it :)

You're all done. Check your inbox in the next few days for your Shipster membership confirmation.

My shipster account has lapsed can I still join using the same email?

    •

That's what I just tried. I'm still waiting for the confirmation email to arrive.

  •

    Thank you

Wonder if it works on existing shipster email address… Might add another just in case

    •

I got the confirmation message saying I'll get an email in a few days.

  •

    thanks OP

Thanks OP. Hope they don't do a CGU on us.

    •

      What happened?

      • +5 votes

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/383225

Got an email saying the voucher will be emailed within 48 hours, then received an email saying codes were exhausted.

        •

          It's been OZBARGAINED!

  • +1 vote

Hope this doesn't turn out like the airtasker 50$ voucher

    • +1 vote

Oh bugger - didn't know that got canned

  •

I am confused, I click on Join and it takes me to a page signing up for Cotton On and Co Perks.

Where do I go for the Shipster membership?

    •

      Click go to deal button

    •

The main link that's in the deal description.

  •

I got the 10 dollar voucher but not confirmation for the shipster subscription.

    •

      Click go to deal button

      •

I did. I filled that form as well as clicked on get 10 voucher button. Filled both forms.

  • +2 votes

How long does the email take to arrive?.

    • +1 vote

You're all done. Check your inbox in the next few days for your Shipster membership confirmation.

  •

Signed up but no email, even checked my junk inbox as well

    • +5 votes

"You're all done. Check your inbox in the next few days for your Shipster membership confirmation."

  •

    No way they honour this

    • +3 votes

Post have a subscription target, even though they are giving it away it will still count ;)

  •

May I suggest to everyone that just completing the form on the link is not enough. To sign up to the ‘perks’ program you need to enter your details and create an account and password with CottonOn

    • +1 vote

you may. i did that but as i mentioned above i only received the mail of voucher, not shipster subscription. at least not yet.

  •

    Hopefully works thanks op

  •

Thanks OP I also received "You're all done. Check your inbox in the next few days for your Shipster membership confirmation." Fingers crossed

The more I think about this deal the more I think it will be cancelled 😥

  • +2 votes

registered. I was a Shipster member and then canceled my account. will be interested of the outcome.

    • +1 vote

Same here, been renewing and cancelling Shipster membership as and when needed. Sounds too good to be true.. but fingers crossed!

  •

I'm trying to understand Shipster. Says free shipping, but not understanding how. Are they a freight forwarder? It ships to Shipster for free, and then Shipster ships to your address for free?

Does Shipster give you your own personal mailing address?

    • +3 votes

      It's Australia Post
      https://auspost.com.au/shipster

Does Shipster give you your own personal mailing address?

      Yes, your house address ;)

      •

So when shopping, for your address you just enter your normal address and the retailer knows you have a Shipster subscription?

        • +2 votes

Yes, when you enter your email address associated with your shipster account at any of the stores participating in the program - it automatically changes to free shipping

      •

I thought i read somewhere that it was actually either majority owned or operated by Sing Post

    •

Australia Post effectively trying to launch a Amazon Prime style subscription for local merchants.
Merchants are in love with the idea but from what i've heard they're really suffering when it comes to consumer take up.
This is the second promotion they've offered, the first big one was for early adopters, they ended up giving them all 12 month subscriptions for free.

  • +1 vote

    haven't received it

  •

registered with a different email address to my current but lapsed shipster one.

  •

    Cheers mate, fantastic find

  •

    Thanks Dude

  •

Is it ethical to take this deal knowing in not cotton on member

    • +2 votes

      yes

  • +1 vote

signed up for the cotton on deal too, so it wont get rejected (hopefully)

  • +1 vote

I’m a Cotton On Perks member already but didn’t get the email. Used the link above, hope it works!

  •

There's more than 9000 clicks on the link, fingers crossed it's not going to be cancelled.

    •

I signed up to the Shipster subscription in the hope it gets through, but I'm fairly sure that anyone without a perks membership will be weeded out.

  •

I'll eat my hat if this is actually honoured. Still, worth a shot.

    • +1 vote

Looks like your hat is an endangered species

      •

        I'm afraid so!

  • +2 votes

hope this helps people Ship their pants

  •

    Thank you - great find!

  • -2 votes

I was already a cotton on perks member and received the email. I hope if they cancel this (because of all the non-members signing on) that they at least honour it for the people who received the email.

    • +1 vote

Why not hope that everybody gets it honoured?

      •

I was. I was just saying that if it did get cancelled (which it didn't) that some people would at least get it.

  •

Anyone know if shipster free shipping works on eBay purchases?

    •

No it doesn't unfortunately. It only works from merchants own websites. The problem us eBay don't have any agreement with Australia Post to get access to Shipster database. And since they launched Shipster/Prime like deal, don't see that happening either.

  • +2 votes

Anyone received the Shipster confirmation email yet?

    •

nothing yet.. not very hopeful for this one

    •

      Not yet

    • +4 votes

Nothing. It will probably be a fizzer.

    • -1 vote

      nope.

    • +2 votes

Nothing here today either. I don't think that any one is ever going to get this.

This is now the third business day since so it's not looking hopeful at all.

  • +4 votes

Why are there 833 + votes if no one has received the bargain?!

    •

Just the way this site works.

  •

OMG i missed it! Hoping there's another deal like this soon!

    • +2 votes

you missed nothing, noone it seems got it

    • +1 vote

Try again ,link now says deal active from today thru to midnight june22.

  • -3 votes

They've just collected 800+ people's personal info at no cost. this should be reported as scam!

    • +1 vote

How did you come up with 800? Votes mean nothing. Look at the clicks.

  • +5 votes

The data was captured by Cotton On and is being sent to Australia Post. Australia post is just finalising the subscription email and will send it in a few days. Today being Friday, will most probably be start of next week.

The only other information I know is anyone who is an existing Shipster member, who signed up using the Cotton On offer will be automatically upgraded.

    Edit: a word

    •

      thanks for the info

  • +8 votes

I received this email in reply to my query to Shipster:

"As advised when you signed up for the promo on the Cotton On website it would be several days (from the time the promotion finished) before the Shispter subscriptions would become active.

There is quite a bit of technical work that needs to be done to upload and activate all the people who have opted into this promotion.

We are hoping to have the "Welcome to Shipster " email go out by close of business today advising all that there free Shispter subscription is now active.

Once you receive the welcome email you will be able to access the free Shispter shipping at our participating retailers.

    Thanks

    The Shipster team"

    • +2 votes

The tone of that email makes me think they have had alot of enquiries about it.

    • +3 votes

Technical work? Surely they already would have a process in place to manage the data from the signup process. Shouldn't make a difference if it was 10 people that signed up or 10,000.

      •

You seriously think big business is this competent?

  • +3 votes

I haven’t received the "Welcome to Shipster " email, but as of this morning the free shipping via Shipster option is showing up (when shopping at participating retailers for over $25) :-)

    •

Can confirm this is the same case for me, but only for one of my emails (already had a free trial before too).

    •

Neither received confirmation nor the subscription 😢

  • +1 vote

I woke up to an email from Cotton On promoting free shipping until Monday. I don't want free shipping until Monday. I want my free shipster shipping until June 2019.
