    The offer we got through was for new port ins. But hey we can always try to push it through. Best to send your request in through the self-service portal and the care team can chase it down for you.

    do you mean can you use the $285 for data - if so, no.
    But you do get 200 MB of data to use anyway.

    The offer only came through last evening on the Discovery Lite series. We put it up on Facebook as soon as it came out.

  Hi Rep, this seems a good deal, but before sign in I just need to clarify few things,

  What happens in the areas where optus signals are not there? Does it roam to some other network? Is there any extra cost for voice outgoing calls in roaming areas?

  And how about data roaming charges (not international, but local)?

    The Optus coverage is pretty good, best to check our coverage section.
    But if there's no signal no it doesn't roam onto any other network.

        If you sign-up can you give a review of these guys - coverage, customer service, hidden charges, incorrect billing - they seem to be all over the shop according to whirlpool. They offer great value, but if its too good to be true….

      13, 1300, 1800 are not included. These are charged outside the cap.

  When are we going to get over the "Total Value" nonsense?
  Seriously people, a higher "total value" on a budget plan just means you get reamed more if you go over the (modest) limit.
  $258 included for $8? Wow! At 90c/minute PLUS 35c flagfall? OUCH!
  So, that's 228 1-minute calls per month … and then you get the spiky end of the pineapple.
  Would it be more impressive if they bundled $20,000 worth of calls (at $100/minute)? I mean, wow, that's such a huge included value! Bargain!
