    this doesn't work tbh

      Agreed. Does not work

Why wouldn't it? I'm guessing it's a small amount of polishing/cutting compound and a small buffing pad. You'd just need lots of pressure and arms of steel.

I'm a detailing hobbyist and could say that this is a tad overpriced even at $20 for the results you'll get. You could get better results with a machine and cutting compound so better off investing in that instead. Unless it's really yellow then you'll need sandpaper

Came here to post the same thing! Couldn't notice a difference after using the product.

  • I use buffing compound and a rag or fine wet and dry.

Then apply car wax to help protect it.

    Lasts about 6 months.

If you're selling a car then use WD4O, only lasts a couple of days but no elbow grease and looks like new.

Toothpaste will work! Does it for my headlights and teeth.

    • Have you tried this on your teeth?

      • Toothpaste is cheaper.

My grandfather was in the airforce during WW2, and he said they used to use toothpaste on the perspex canopies

    • I tried this once on a set that weren't too bad but all it did was dry them out, clarity was a bit better but not as good as a proper polish

  • I watched a video on what you need to do with the kit, looks like a pain in the ass…

I want fast, cheap and easy - what are my options?

    • Buy a new light.

The only long-term solution is to use one of the above methods then apply clear coat.

Problem with clear coat is that it may crack all over on your headlight.

      Fast and easy:

Go to any decent car wash/detailer and tell 'em you want your headlights polished. They'll use a rotary or dual action polishing machine with a cutting pad and some cutting compound while you sit on your arse. As Scab mentioned, you could apply a wax or sealant afterwards if it matters.

I'll just do this, thanks anyway.

      • That looks good to me :)

I thought you are not meant to touch the halogen headlights? :p

    • +1

You're not meant to touch halogen globes

  • I used Autosol metal polish (and elbow grease) to remove the yellowing then sealed it with the turtle stuff.

  • Toothpaste $2

  • I use Meguiars ScratchX which is for paint scratches but works great on headlights too so no need to buy a dedicated product just for the lights. Works great and gets the headlights looking new with very little effort.

  • Toothpaste works well. Use a cheap one- more abrasive.
