Wow they've been having lots of discounts lately.

    • I bought one of their Meals over a year ago and they still text me twice a week with promo. Seems to be 24/7 promos with this mob.

    • +2

The good ol' model of making the normal price higher than it should be to suggest quality, then constant reductions to a more appropriate price to create a deal that looks great and urgency.

How big are these portions? Are they bigger than Lean Cuisine??

    • +1

Lean Cuisine has various sizes - I'd say about the same size as the Salmon and Dill linguine (if you know that one) - maybe a tad bigger.

That said, the food is much much better than Lean Cuisine.

      • +2

        Yeah about same serving sizes.

They sent me a free mini cooler bag! :D

    • +1

Good question. I'm not a huge eater and it takes two meals for me to feel somewhat full. It's the only problem with Youfoodz..

  • Was meaning to do an order, thanks!

  • +1

Nice deal, if you play your cards right your meals can work out to be $6.21ea delivered ($49.7 after $20 discount for 8 meals).
They taste great, portions are small (but not tiny) and the convenience of these being delivered to your door cannot be understated. Thanks for sharing OP!

Or, if you exclusively order the $7.95 Asian meals, you can get 7 meals for $35.65 after -$20 coupon, bringing each meal to $5.10ea
(That said, as you said, the meals aren't big so you could probably eat two for dinner brining your meal to $10.20….)

      • I thought minimum order had to be $69 then less $20 is $49…

        • 9 asian meals - it works out to be $5.73. Still pretty good.

    • +1

I think the best deal is to add 5 asian meals ($7.95 each) + 1 non-special meal ($9.95) to get a total of $49.70. Then get the $20 discount which brings total down to $29.70. That would only be $4.95 / meal.

      • +1

were you able to submit this? I cant get $20 off on the min $49 spend

        • Didn't work for me either.

        • $49 spend gets 25% off
          $69 spend gets $20 off

    • What happens if you're not home during delivery??

      • +3

You don't need to be home to receive your delivery as our products are delivered in a polystyrene box with ice packs, which can hold a safe temperature for up to eight hours.

Note: This recommended timeframe is weather dependant and will decrease in warmer weather. Please ensure you refrigerate your items as soon as possible.

Your delivery will generally be left at your front door or gate unless you have advised a specific location in the delivery notes when placing your order.

Should there be any dogs present at your delivery address, our drivers will leave your order in the safest place possible without entering the premises. The safety of our drivers is very important to us.

      • If you're in an apartment without building manager and you're not home to pick it. They won't leave it on the street. They will take it back and YOU have to follow up with customers service to get it redelivered

Second delivery, you won't be able to track - makes it worse.

Happened to me Friday - customer service said will contact me to confirm delivery for Saturday morning as I requested (but of course they didn't call me back to confirm)
Had to call again Saturday morning and was told delivery 1-3pm and time passed - of course delivery guy didn't show up - had to call again and told another 1.5 hours and that there are 3 more before me.
You would think a redelivery would be priority, but that wasn't the case

        • When I haven't been home, they've left it just outside the main door of my unit block (can't be seen from street).

  • Plus they're fresh, not frozen.

25% off code HEYTHERE_25_SALE_1 didn't work for me unfortunately so used the FLAVOURFUL code. Thanks OP.

    • How much discount does FLAVOURFUL code give you?

      • Discount (code: FLAVOURFUL ): $-19.90
        Subtotal: $127.35
        GST : $13.40
        Shipping: $20.00
        Total: $147.35

  • HEYTHERE_25_SALE_1 doesnt work for me

    • Are you an existing customer? This is my second order but my first was as a guest so that might be why it didn't work.

      • Yeah i'm an existing

  • HEYTHERE_25_SALE_1 doesn’t work for me either. I’m guessing for first time customers. this is about my 10th order now.

  • THanks OP ordered

  • Thanks OP

  • Just received my third order this afternoon, surprised that they threw in a free water bottle and coffee cup as well with the free pizza meal. Portions are small but perfect for me who are trying to cut back. Meals are around 250-310 grams.

    • Is the water bottle and coffee cup any good? Thinking of hitting them up.

Have done about 8 orders and only ever received the welcome pack after I called them to ask where it was and one protein snack

  • Thanks op. $51.70 for 8 meals with flavourful code not the best but not much in the Asian menu. Servings are pretty small but convenience makes it worth it.

  • +2

Many complain about small serving size. I think the portion is about right, but people got used to over eat and crave for more food.

Actually the issue is with restaurants over serve. They want to charge more, so they have to serve more to show the value. Reality is that ingredients are cheap (relative to labour, rent, utilities, etc.), so they make more money from a big plate of food than a small plate at half the price.

    • I'm struggling and would describe the sizes as an entree.

    • I had 4 of them per day and lost weight.

      • Aha same here. I usually have some buttered fresh bread to go with.

        • Same, or steam some potatoes or frozen veggies to pad it out if I'm really hungry.

  • Teriyaki chicken & Tokyo potatoes and karaage chicken & Asian slaw are my favourites, so ordered a few of those plus a couple of others on the $7.95 menu. Came up to $51 and change for 9 meals, pretty good I reckon.

  • +3

Wish they have more low calories, low carbs, good fat, and high protein meals. After 20 or so orders, the meals are getting repetitive.

    • Try having 5 or so for vegetarian. They must be losing serious business.

    • Agree! Have told customer service multiple times as feedback but seems to be the same. Just more and more higher calories food

  • I agree on the serving sizes being sufficient. I usually have a reasonable appetite, and when I used to adhere to intermittent fasting, my first meal would be huge; so I have a history of big portion sizes (under special circumstances, mind you). Anyway, I think that once you give it a go, you’ll notice that you’ll adapt to the size reasonably quickly.

  • Anyone knows why the shipping cost to WA is so high at $20??

Are these meals being sent from Melbourne or Sydney perhaps?

    • Brisbane I think. At least the Sydney ones come from Brisbane.

$20 is actually quite reasonable considering it's a large styrofoam box going across the continent, heavy and requires refrigeration.

People happily pay $10 for much smaller items just for intrastate delivery.

But I also agree that $20 delivery is a discouragement.

$20 delivery for $50 worth of pre-packaged meals… eastern states can keep their crappy food. why wouldn't you support local farmers and eat better/fresher produce… which, without, we would all starve.

  • I did not receive the promised free pizza from my last order.

    • Did the delivery date meet the requirement?

They missed meals in a couple of orders, customer service gave me the options of free meal (in terms of a promo code) or refund ($9.95). I chose refund, because the free code can’t stack with other promo codes.

But a free meal is tricky, probably they won’t refund something that is free, however it would be worthwhile to get in touch with their customer service. Just reply to your order confirmation email.

    • I had the same issue and they offered me a refund of $9.95 on the online chat. Maybe give that a go.

  • Neither code working for me now.
Not my first order so that might be why the first one doesn't work but FLAVOURFUL isn't working either.

    • did u have $69bux minimum for FLAVOURFUL?

  • Thanks OP, this is my 2nd order. 9 asian meals for $52 delivered. Got my first delivery last week - slightly small [probs healthy portion TBH] and actually yummy

  • Who deliver this? Anyone got it delivered to their workplace?

    • its normally in an airconditioned van, not sure of the company.
they now have a new option for delivery (other than residential) called "business" where u put the company name and delivery instructions.
maybe test it out and let everyone know how it goes :)

      • I did use the business address. Wasn't a good experience. The delivery van arrived after 5.30pm, while the website says they won't deliver that late for business address.

    • +1

I met the bloke downstairs once and seemed to be a contractor. No labels on van. They send you tracking information like dominos pizza. You can pinpoint the driver etc. Handy tool. Delivered in a box with dry ice.

      • Tracking is not always accurate, my last delivery showed the "truck" was still 20 km away when I got an email notification that it was delivered (left at Front door).

        • Better than nothing though.

  • Thanks, ordered :)
