TaoTronics Wireless Stereo Transmitter
Want to enjoy wireless audio reproduction but your TV, PC, iPod or older non-Bluetooth audio devices won't support it? Simply add it! Connect the TaoTronics Portable Bluetooth Transmitter by means of the built-in 3.5mm cable or RCA Cable and turn your older wired devices into upgraded Bluetooth transmitters.

Fast Setup for Immediate Usage
Made even for the less techy users, the TaoTronics Wireless Adapter pairs in just a few easy steps: connect it to your non-Bluetooth audio devices; press and hold the multifunction button until the transmitter enters pairing mode; and let it detect and pair with your Bluetooth headphones and speakers, soundbar, or Amazon Echo up to 10 m.

I have tried both of these products and they work well. The Bluetooth transmitter is plugged into the back of my computer and gives me much better range than my old one, covering my whole house and part of my backyard.

I have found the Bluetooth transmitter/receiver particularly useful. With both optical/SPDIF IN & OUT I can connect it to my surround sound system for receiving music from my phone (finally) and also connect it to my Xbox One for transmitting sound to my Bluetooth headphones. I have it plugged into a USB port on my Xbox to power it. I can't recommend this enough. It has solved two problems with one gadget.

  • Can this output to 2 sets of Bluetooth headphones. My wife and I would like to watch tv error or baby sleeps..! 1 headset isn't enough..

    • Yes, with the transmitter/receiver you can.

    • +1

You won't have aptx-low latency unless you have recieving devices with aptx-low latency.

You won't be able to use Bluetooth unless you have receiving device with Bluetooth :p

    • You'd need to split the output from the receiver into two wired headphones. Don't believe you can stream audio to two separate bluetooth receivers from one sound source, but I could be mistaken…

      • I don't know about this specific device but the Genki dongle for Nintendo Switch does BT to two devices although it won't do aptx-low latency to two devices simultanelously.

        • But from I can see it hasn't been released - it's only in crowdfunding stage…

Avantree Oasis Plus can stream to two devices over AptX LL.

    • We didnt do this as we're afraid no one could hear the baby if she's crying. Our solution is to stream to a bluetooth speaker playing in low volume just behind us, feels a bit safer

  • +2

My sister had one of these after I got it for her, and she loves it. She uses it for watching TV, free to air and Netflix and plex via chromecast. She has zero sync problems or lag. Would recommend.

AFAIK, this supports AptX Low Latency, and it supports pairing two headphones at once, but it DOESNT support two headphones using AptX Low Latency at the same time. (Please correct me if i’m wrong)

Avantree Oasis Plus can support two headphones using AptX LL. I’m not sure of any others that do.

    • Does it support streaming to two headphones at once - paring and streaming may not be the same thing…?

The Avantree Oasis Plus looks impressive. Do you use this?

      • Yes, streaming to two at once.

No I don’t have one, but plan to buy one at some stage (unless something better/cheaper comes along).

(I guess buying two of these TaoTronics and a splitter would be cheaper, but I rather not have two seperate transmitters!)

      • I have the oasis plus, yes it supports multiple streaming. One quirk about that feature is sometimes your hearing pair does not "match" and stop working altogether. I cannot stream to my jabra + jbl but it works for jbl + sony

Good price and overall positive reviews

I use a $3 ebay FM transmitter, and an old 2010 Android phone with Fm, and ear buds(Acer Liquid Mt replaced in 2012) - running around the clock . I disable the cellular radio and get a good 24 hrs out of the battery. Plugged into the PC, I can walk around the house, yard, park out the back, and some way up the road. Can have stuff playing on the PC and get on with my day(voip app/skype rings on the same audio device). Video, youtube, audiobooks(with sleep timer for sleepy time). I plan to eventually sort remote control - some Windows audio/video players have an Android remote. You can have as many receivers as you like.

Various sound systems (outside BBQ area, shed, etc) have old Tegra2 tablets plugged in and running DLNA(Bubbleupnp) for casting. I often suggest to friends to grab a $20 mobile to make their stereo "smart".

  • Can this run while being charged? I need one that's "always on"

    • +1

Yes it can, that how I have mine set up.

    Negged because PJC.

  • Thanks OP!! Bought one of each!

  • Is this code expired? I am getting expired msg

    • It looks like the number of TaoTronics Bluetooth Transmitter and Receivers available for this special has sold out.
I have contacted the Rep to see if more can be made available.

The TaoTronics Wireless Portable Bluetooth Transmitter is still available.

      • Thanks, I'll wait for this one to come back again on a deal.

  • If I were to buy 2 and set one as a transmitter and the other as a receiver, would that work?

    • Sounds like something out of fringe!

  • +1

Great price OP but I'm unconvinced I would use it.

Bought the portable one last week to use in the car - great product, and excellent price. Sound quality is great.

  • Let me know if more become available for the 2 in 1. Would be keen to get one.

  • Do amazon allow you to stack Codes? would like to use it together with $10 new accounts

    • Not sure but I think should be able to. Won't hurt to try.

  • Dang. Bought one of these before discount to use Bluetooth headphones with my Nintendo switch. Works great. No latency issues

  • I can't connect to the device. I've tried following the manual and other people's suggestions on my Samsung galaxy s7.
Sometimes I can pair it but when pressing on the device name it doesn't do anything unlike my other paired devices which connect.
I've tried unpairing and re-pairing it; at times it says it can't communicate with it under available devices.
