we’ve had better in the past but if you need one today what is the best price …..
sure we had sub $200 amazon deal and $228 for new on ebay only a month ago, but they aren’t around today, and if you need one for kids and they have friends coming around for a sleep over and pizza gaming night, you need to deal with the best deal of the day.

Absolutely not a bargain.
Saying the old "well it's the best we have now" thing doesn't help. You'd be a fool to buy this, as posted above, the AC deal is much better value. Not to mention, there are deals everywhere all the time on these.
Just because someone is selling it for five cents less than usual, when they are already charging way more than most people most of the time, it's not a bargain.
I could start tracking down a bunch of PS2 units and then sell them for 150 a pop, then a week later bring it down to 125, it's lower sure, but it's still far from a (profanity) bargain, and so is this.

I paid pretty much this price for a new Minecraft 1TB model from Amazon including free shipping. Sorry but this is not a deal.

For me, EB is now the absolute last resort to purchase used consoles/accessories. The few times I've had issues and tried to return something after a week has been a nightmare. Not as straghtforward as they claim upon purchase. In one instance, i was given the choice to exchange it for another (that was in much worse condition) or a store credit. They refused a refund and only issued one after being persistent.
They will tell you that consoles/accessories are "sent to head office for thorough testing." I'm sure that consists of them plugging it in and making sure it turns on. Testing complete.
Unless you can't get it for less elsewhere, I wouldn't risk it. Better off spending the extra $37 (as suggested above) for peace of mind and the standard warranty period.
Not a great price for used. If you wait for a sale or discount code you can get a brand new one for not much more or even better. Maybe if they threw in a few games it would be better deal.
Plus no guarantee you will even get a genuine or latest official controller with bluetooth. Which makes this deal even worse.
