  • what are these like? I want one for the odd occasion where i'll never ever really need one

Because you are never ever really going to need one, this would suit fine.

  • Aldi one burnt out on me as soon as I applied some pressure ,
while the ozito I replaced it with has kept going..

The model before this one was great. Lasted me about 5yrs. This one doesn't catch the dust nearly as well and I returned it after the paper kept slipping out of place. Spend an extra $10-$20 and skip this one.

      • I also own this Ozito Detail Sander.

        doesn't catch the dust

        Agreed.

the paper kept slipping out of place

        This. A million times this.

      • What do you recommend specifically?
I can only see a ryobi for $70 or a bosch for $120. Those are considerably more expensive.

  • where the bloody ladder price match…

  • The sand paper on this one just comes off non-stop. So frustrating!

  • I had an Ozito sander for 5+ years before this, used it to death. This as a recent replacement is fantastic so far for <$30. Just purchase sandpaper separately and ditch the sandpaper that comes with it (as others have said, it just slips off). I also own an expensive cordless, but batteries drain too quickly on long jobs. This works just as well.

You mean use normal sandpaper? Or some other brand triangle-shaped pieces?
