  • 99 cents @ Aldi for UHT so its pretty good for those (are there any?) that use UHT milk.

    • +1

I only buy UHT milk. At the beginning it tasted a bit strange, but after a short while I just didn't notice. The convenience of always having milk on hand and being able to stock up when it's on special outweighs the small taste difference for me.

      • UHT is ultra-heat treatment (according to wikipedia).
Do note that the heat denatures proteins in the milk due to its uber high temperature.

        • If you make yogurt at home, this is ideal for that, as the milk needs to be heat treated - denatures proteins - for it to work successfully.

It is the same milk which you get in little containers in hotels and on planes to add to your coffee.
