We have compiled the stats for 2017…finally.

  • Gearbest has most front page deals (up 54 place from 2016). Banggood, Zapals, and Lightinthebox also moved in the top 25.

Highlights

Popular Forum Threads of note:

Comments:

  • 1,139,275 published comments in 2016, up from 966,436. 6.2m total.
  • Comment removal rate at ~1%, similar level for past few years. 24% of removals are requested by the commenter themselves.
  • JV with the most comments 8,379 (down from 8,660 in 2016). Equates to one comment every 62 minutes.

Posters:

  • 25.2% of all deals hit the front page.
  • nocure posted 590 deals , 352 made the front page. 59.6%
  • tightarse posted 423, 419 made the front page. 99%!
  • easternculture posted 379, 150 made the front page. 39.5%

Not going to ask for predicts as we're more than halfway through 2018. Oh well.

    Hey Neil, for shits and giggles could you graph the decline of eneloop posts? Based on the tag?

    With the demise of Dick Smith b&m stores a few years back I reckon it would be an interesting stat :)
