  • Nice to know they included some hotels outside of Australia. Thanks for the heads up.

For $650 you might get one night at the Park Hyatt Sydney next to the bridge.

Nah might get you a coupla hours at most, an expensive "short time" hotel…

probably only good for those who intends to stay there anywhere. then again those who can afford to stay there probably don't need the discount lol

but for ordinary folks even with discount by amex its crazy expensive.

      • I've stayed there for 2 nights before. I'd gladly take a discount if I was to ever stay there again.

    • At my previous company our corporate rate (based on availability) was about 300 for Hyatt's, which included the rocks location

hit and miss to get, but well worth it

Worth checking if your company has corporate rack rates

  • At least this: "Incidental spend is eligible if charged to your room during your stay and paid at the hotel front desk upon check-out (e.g. spend at hotel restaurants)." is a positive as well!

If you haven't stayed at Hyatt Canberra I recommend it - very historic and old world cool especially sipping scotch in front of the open fire at the bar or high tea in the afternoons

    • The main problem is that it far away from any place interesting (unless you want to visit the new and old Parliament houses). My preference has been The Avenue hotel but unfortunately it is not part of a chain so you do not end up with things like free upgrades to hotel rooms etc as you would with a Hilton Honors of IHG program.

      • Yeah that’s true though we had a car with us. When we wanted to drink Uber was about $6 to city centre for dinner

  • Would this work for any in hotel services like massage or dining only?

  • Any offers for Ibis Budget?? …..More to my level of affordability.

  • It might be handy for my Japan trip this year.
Only 4 countries are included in Asiapac.
Hyatt has some great properties in Asia and the service is great too.

  • Hyatt pisses me off. I love staying at there hotels but they do not provide points if it is being charged back to a company account.

For that reason, I now never stay at Hyatt and opt to stay at other hotels who reward me for choosing them when away for work trips. I've had all sorts of fun with the family on points accrued whilst away for work.

Still a good deal. Grand Hyatt in KL is superb

    • This might be because you are using corporate rate, they dont normally credit points and stay for that.

      • I get credited for corporate rate stays, but pay upon checkout.

      • I think that’s what he’s saying - other hotel chains credit points even for corporate rates, sounds like he’s saying Hyatt doesn’t?

    • Wow that's really strange.i do get Hyatt points for any business trip (corporate rates apply).I just provided my membership account no.to my company's travel agent.I make sure the itinerary is reflected in my goldpassport account and upon check in I double check wd front desk my that credits will accrue to my account.try to email Hyatt membership concierge and send your itinerary for retrospective application.

  • "Excludes advance purchases, bookings or room reservations made through any other channels such as online aggregators or travel agencies." Does this mean it's only valid if you reserve on the Hyatt website?

    • It's either book directly from Hyatt website or pay at checkout at the hotel property.

      • It's so hard to say nowadays. e.g. Hilton charges on the day of booking, but some websites charge you at the day of staying. Can someone with previous booking experience from Hyatt website tell us if Hyatt's charge happens on the booking time or staying time?

I am going to stay 30th Nove to 2th Dec - if I couldn't convince the hotel to charge me fully on the first day, I wouldn't get this deal… help much appreciated.

  • Dann! Just been!

  • Would this work in pre advanced online bookings where you have to pay prior on the Hyatt website?

Reading the conditions, this is only if you pay in person which I assume is only for pay at hotel bookings?

  • Offers all claimed out
