Priority Pass Standard Plus - £125.25 (~$222 AUD, Normally £159/$281 AUD) + Others @ Groupon UK

60

I would like to bring this to the attention of those who do not already have PP lounge access through a credit card etc.

£6 ($10.60 AUD) for a 50% discount on Standard Membership
£6 ($10.60 AUD) for a 50% discount on Standard Membership with first lounge visit included
£6 ($10.60 AUD) for a 25% discount on Standard Plus Membership with ten visits included

Groupon price doesn’t include the entire cost of membership, which is directly payable to Priority Pass:

I will focus on the standard plus membership here. The final cost with the Groupon was $222 AUD for membership and ten entries. If you would like to bring a guest it is £15 ($26 AUD). If you run out of passes you are then charged the £15 ($26 AUD) for every entry after ten. Standard membership is $71.55 AUD for basic membership including Groupon cost.

With the REX lounges, you now have a lounge in Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. With dining options at Sydney, Brisbane, Coolangatta and Melbourne were you obtain a $37 food and beverage voucher instead of a lounge entry. So this could possibly be worth $370 AUD, albeit, with inflated airport pricing.

Here is a link to what is available in Australia - https://www.prioritypass.com/en/loungesearch?entity=57205fdd…

You will need to list a UK address but can have your card sent to an Australian address as I did.

Credit to user Peck who found this deal in 2016 as I basically copied his.

Op can you paste the English link?
C&P Turd's link or change the /es/ to /en/ in you link

  • Could I ask a few questions please? If I buy Standard membership for AUD71.55, how much do I have to pay per visit? Is it different for lounges and 'eateries'… a bit confusing.

    • I see, the cost is $37 per visit for the lounge, or you get $37 to spend at the eateries???

      • On the basic membership, it would be $26 AUD to enter the lounge. I believe the $37 only applies to the standard plus as I can't see how at a restaurant you pay them $26 and they say you have $37 to spend but I could be wrong.

      • I have unlimited entries but to the best of my knowledge the cost of per entry is not related to how much you spend at the eateries (Max $36 as at last week).
Separately at Sydney Domestic the Rex Lounge is very nice, especially for the wide range of unlimited drinks. Food is nice sandwiches and a huge range of unhealthy snacks. If it is peoplewatching and mainly food that you want, then you may prefer one of the restaurants.

        • It's just that on the Priority Pass site it mentions member visit as US$27…

  • I'm so confused.
If I already have a membership I can buy additional passes for $10.60?

    • No. New users only. The $10.60 is to be able to purchase the ability to buy the priority pass at a discounted rate.

  • Hey Op, you're assuming people have a bit more knowledge of the product then I/we possible do.

So basically you pay $72 to join the "club" and then pay for every visit? is that $72 annual or lifetime?

The Rex lounge might be handy for flying Jetstar & Tiger (at least in Melb).

    • Yeah, I knew it was a mess typing it. Annual.

  • it costs that much… I'm glad I have a lifetime membership with the free fee for life Citibank signature c/card.

    • but you pay $395 (or $199 for first year) for that card?

don't worry, you're paying for your lounge visits.

nah citibank had free for life promos.
many are still holding onto the card for PP and travel insurance. Points scheme is terrible now.

fee free for life, haven't paid a cent in annual fees for about 5 years

        • sounds good. ok maybe my comment applies to someone else then. can't go back and edit.

        • is that still available

how many visits do you get

        • @furythree:

If you join up to the Citibank signature card then the priority pass is complimentary. The priority pass allows 2 entries per year into the lounges. Or 2x $37 real credits at certain Sydney airport food outlets.

The signature fee free for life promo is no longer available. It currently has like a $400 annual fee of something like that.

        • @Archi: thanks

          not worth it then

currently have the WBC black card for free
but trying to get a card for my partner cause you cant share the entries

  • So confused

    Not really a deal tbh.
You might as well just get the Bankwest World MC with LoungeKey access program. It's pretty much the same as PP in terms of lounges access. It has the unlimited lounge access, supplementary card holder also gets an account for unlimited access. Unlike the PP Plus which only gives you 10 access and then extra charge after that.
The cost of Bankwest card is AUD 270 per year which is slightly more expense but it's unlimited lounge access and all your supplementary card holders get their own account.

    https://www.loungekey.com/bankwest

    • How many additional cards can you have on this card?

      • At least one free supplementary card but check with Bankwest first.

    • I agree. Got a Bankwest World MC and had no trouble with lounges in UAE, France, Italy and even Fiji (the new Fiji Airways lounge is excellent) all taking a guest, however would mention that the supplementary card has the same number so you can’t use it in the same lounge at the same time as the primary cardholder. Tried it where my wife and I tried to bring a guest each into the lounge at the same time but the system didn’t like it. Regardless, you can bring in one guest generally free and pay for extras. Where there is no lounge access (eg. Sydney) you can get $36/$72 with guest off multiple cafes.

      • After seeing this, I just converted my BW zero MC to a more world MC earlier this month in anticipation of my tour to Europe in Sep. It was a shame that BW Qantas world MC doesn't have lounge access. More points seem quite worthless.

Got the card and activated my loungekey account; the access policy reads:

As a Bankwest More World Mastercard cardholder you are entitled to unlimited complimentary lounge visits with your LoungeKey account at participating lounges.
Any guests you take into a lounge are also entitled to complimentary access, however please check individual lounge conditions as restrictions may apply.

But after reading your post I'm afraid that I may not be able to let my mate into the lounge. We're travelling together, but I don't think I trust him enough to add as a supplementary card holder :P

  • Chargeable lounge visit price is going up to $USD 32.
"On the 1st October 2018 we will be increasing the fee for chargeable lounge visits to US$32 per visit per person. Any complimentary visits included as a part of your membership will not be affected by this fee increase."
